@est623ce Allah (swt) has narrated countless stories is the Holy Quran which relate events that have occurred in history so that we may learn and take some lessons from it. From this fact alone we may derive that it is of the utmost importance for us to discover and ponder over our history. We as Muslims especially have the duty to understand our own Islamic history. Hence Muslims should not only concern themselves with the history of the 4 califs times but both before and after as-well.

It is not necessarily true that if an individual is ruling over a few that his ways should be accepted without question. Allah in Holy Qur'an asks all to challenge the Qur'an. If we have the right to challenge such a faultless book then do we not have the right to question the authority of a human ruler? From this fact alone we may derive that it is of the utmost importance for us to discover and ponder over our history. We as Muslims especially have the duty to understand our own Islamic history. It is not necessarily true that if an individual is ruling over a few that his ways should be accepted without question. Allah in Holy Qur'an asks all to challenge the Qur'an. If we have the right to challenge such a faultless book then do we not have the right to question the authority of a human ruler? Hence taking this all into consideration, homage to the king is not obligatory unless he is appointed by God

Not only is he narrating 'history' (you and I have very different views on the topic) the mufti is expressing incorrect beliefs on the homage of kings (refer to 3:31) deeming Imam Husain (as) 'mistaken'.The beloved grandson of the Prophet could not possibly have accepted Yazid's ways and given homage to him.

There is a difference among the scholars whether the du'a for prayer and blessings on the family of Mohammad and the family of Ibrahim (Sallallahu 'allaihum wa salam) is wajib or sunnah, the correct, I believe, being sunnah. No one of the sunnah has ever said rukn and the the prayer is invalidated...the rest is too obvious that the truth is with Sheikh al-Sheikh.

Very nice. If any body think logically and wisely will come on same conclussion that it can not be possible that on one hand we recite salwats on imam Hussain(a.s) in our prayers and on other hand we asks for Allah's blessing for his murderer. If these kind of matters should be put towards Allah(swat) then we should pray for Ablees (Shaitaan) also.

I don't understand the Mufti did express his blessings upon Hussein (Allahouma yarda 3anho) everytime he mentionned him. and second thing when he says that ahl doesn't represent the wife of the prophet. Why then Allah (swt) said about Musa (3alayhi Salam) that he went to bring fire to his ahl(wife)

- as for 'ahl', it doesn't say "his wife" (zawjatuh) but "his family" which means children or kinsmen. So where do you get the wife from? His wife may have been present, but the Quran does not identify her - so why are you identifying her?
