That's really too bad man, Selling off your stuff and moving again. Hope it's a well-thought choice and not forced by circumstances. G'luck regardless and hope to see more vids coming.
@MzProgressive $7?? Holy cow! I live in Amish country too and I buy raw milk for $5. If you live anywhere near Elverson you should visit Bethany Farm. :) Their milk is raw and they don't use any growth hormones on their cows.
@MzProgressive OH! lol. It certainly is delicious. I bought a half gallon from the supermarket and in comparison to the 'real stuff' it tastes so gross!
You got That right! Even the homogenized stuff from Whole Foods tastes like water next to the "real thing." I actually started lOSING weight when I started drinking it, so there must be something to that whole thing about calcium fomenting healthy weight loss - even with the cream line sitting about a third of the way from the top of the gallon bottle. Mmm mmm!
I understand selling your livestock but are you really selling your dog? WHY? That seems a bit irresponsible and doesn't really teach your children properly to take care of animals. You can travel with a dog and if you're buying another, larger space then the dog would be happy there too. I just don't understand it. Maybe you guys should just buy a small suburban home on 1/2 an acre or less and have a veggie garden and some chickens and maybe a dwarf goat.
I am VERY dissapointed and I think you are making a HUGE mistake. You did this before when you sold your last place for this one. Each time you get a bigger place and find yourself overwhelmed. Now that your finally used to it and over the harships of 09 you are a glutten for punishment. Sell more animals and even yoru sweet dog!? It was bad enough when the donkey was sold but understandable. I think you are making he worst decision of your life and will regret it every day. Find a way to stay.

I buy grass fed raw milk for SEVEN dollars a gallon, from the Amish in PA. Why don't you move to PA and KEEP Your cows??
Sorry to hear you are leaving your homestead. Sure hope it is for greener pastures.
