  • Haha, I love how he dresses casual/trendy, and can play with -the- best of them. My undergrad music was IU. If this isn't exemplary of "race doesn't matter / don't just a book by its cover" then for humanity, all is lost...

  • Terrific! First heard you play this late at night, but 2 or 3 minutes only. Phrases kept ringing around in my head for several months. Well there are sounds one can't ignore forever... like great Interpretation!

  • Hey that was great! Liszt has and always will be in my favorite's. And you did a wonderful job!

  • Hey dude,

I really like your interpretations of classical pieces and enjoy them a lot.

I think you got a really deep touch in playing hard pieces and dont act like so many pianists today, who make everything virtuose so you are somehow oldschool like me, even if i am by far not as good as you are.

It is overall awesome to see a black guy playing classical music, I think it is somehow special, because a lot of black people dont get the opportunity to know sth. from this special music.

  • fantastic, brilliant my man, brilliant

  • Great! now can you get Mike Tyson to do mazeppa! ')

  • wow it's soooooooooooooooooo sportic. but not art.

  • @saintvingt elaborate! if you can

  • This is Beautiful Jonathan, How lucky are we to be able to turn on the tube and hear such a piece of art, by an amazing artist! All the best to you and yours in 2011!

  • @AnnieCanada Thanks Annie! Where are you moving your channel to??

  • Fantastic, Jonathan! Thumbs up!

    Greetings from Brazil!

  • Damn you're swole as hell! Do you probably take steroids lol.

There's not many swole black piano players in the world so this guy is someone to appreciate.

  • Very nice!

  • really good recording quality!!!!

  • You have an outstanding technique, this is such a difficult piece, but you did a great job!

Don't be afraid to use the full capacity of the piano, remember this is a Wild Hunt not a quiet little romance ... try play with even more determination, and hit every single note like you really really mean it.

    Regards from DK

  • Outstanding, you have such natural ability. Have you seen Odin's horse with 8 legs yet?

  • this jagd seems very calm, maybe they're tired! :D

  • Yay!! A new Cambry video!!

  • Soo good!

I have a request!!!! : chopin etude no. 3 it's sooo prettty i bet you could learn it really easily..or, you probably know it already.

  • This was great.

  • @TayZonday Thanks a lot man!

  • @PianoPlaya123 Wow, Tay Zonday gave you a thumbs up! That's RESPECT right there!

From a critical standpoint... I very much enjoyed your performance. It is very clear and well portrayed (FIREY and consistent with written dynamics). I believe 3:12 and on should expand fluidly and have accented beats.

I was deleting some subscriptions until I ran across yours and watched a few of your videos. Now I know why I subscribed in the first place. Please, keep up the great work. Will keep watching.

  • very nicely played!........recording quality great too..........well mixed and very professional sounding.

  • My god Mr. Cambry, I've listened to several of your recordings now including your Rachmaninoff Musical Moments, and you, sir, were absolutely meant to play the piano. I've tried playing some of the pieces you play so fluently, so I know the effort it takes, and you make it look like any old body can sit down and do it no problem. You certainly serve as inspiration for me to get through to the end of some of my tougher pieces. Keep up the fantastic work!

  • !!! Bravissimo >:-)))

  • Bravo!

  • Nice arms bro! : )

  • slam dunk

  • The middle section at 2:03, I really like the way you approach that part. My favorite part of the song. I play it a bit slower like Cziffra does but I actually like it fast like this. Good job man!

  • OMG dude my favorite etude of all!!!! BRAVO!

  • @ReturnOfTheStienway Thanks man! Much appreciated!

  • Liszt is one of my favorite composers, not a lot of people today play his works as well as you've done. So, Thank you for doing so! ^^

  • @Gaara7177 I just can agree ;)

    xDDD^^ =))

  • @Gaara7177 and thank You for watching me!
