  • i just love that hammond b 3 sound.

  • Made my day. Wow.

  • Sure to be a classic hymn.

  • Steve Winwood is one of the greatest singers of all time. Clapton does okay, but when on stage with Winwood, he should leave the vocal tasks to Steve.

  • @satijournal It's Clapton's tune. He wrote it. I agree with you about Winwood. He's one of the greatest.

  • TOTALLY AWESOME! From and old hippie!

  • Blind Faith in your face, motherfuckers!!!!!

  • Beautiful song! Clapton's power consists in his softness, his sensuality. ARTIST!

  • everybody knows the secret... everybody knows the score...

  • When I'm much older and in a nursing home would one of you all do me an immense favor and play this on youtube for me? Thanks.

  • @waterdog456 Ha ha!! Sure. No probs...

  • Respond to this video... How could 1 person, let alone 5, NOT LIKE THIS??? The mind BOGGLES...

  • @PhflyDan1

The current ratio of human beings to braindead idiots is 1,090 to 5.

  • @bustballz

I know! Steve Winwood is, in my opinion, the most musically talented person that will ever live.

  • Most people are not music geeks, but it is no exaggeration to say that these two voices are completely recognizable to 99% of the earth's population.

Steve Winwood's voice, mostly due to his 80's mega-hit "Valerie", (which reached far and wide) and Eric Clapton for obvious reasons. Even if you cannot put a name to the singer, no matter who you are, you can sing the chorus "she don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie, buh-buh, buh-bum... Cocaine." You can even "buh-buh-bum" out the next riff

  • Amazing.

  • I saw Blind Faith at the Spectrum in Philly back in 71 or so. The shame was all the audience was shouting for Cream songs to the point Ginger Baker got pissed and said "We are NOT the Cream. We are Blind Faith!!!!" I think that waht broke up Blind Faith more than anything.

  • This is "real" music with "real" artists. AWESOME AND TIMELESS !!!!!!

  • @rebeccaBGroup That says it all.

  • Winwood is simply the best.

  • 3 Dislikes ..Why have they ears ???

  • @gitarbest they have ears, but it's so full of the crap music of today that they don't know what real music is, and how artists who care about the music rather than notoriety and fame is why the music is so much better

  • @BLUESMANRONCHICAGO i Agree with you my friend ;) ;D

  • @BLUESMANRONCHICAGO i agree

  • Next stop on your tour must be DENMARK!!!! come on Eric and stevie.

  • los superamigos

  • Awesome!!!!!

  • AWESOME UPLOAD!!! THANK YOU!

  • You know what i dont think about this version of the song?

they dont have that AMAZING part where Clapton plays the "wrong" note for the solo, and it is BEAUTIFUL. You know what i mean? That is lITERALLY my favorite part of the song. I really think it's beautiful. Absolutily amazing. But, this is still good.c: .

  • Does anyone know who the drummer is?

  • @TheHarleyrulz Steve Jordan I believe

  • i love stevie windwood

     and eric clapton et al.

  • the real deal....thank god for true musicians

  • gives me goosebumps and makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up

long live real music and real musicians!

  • shivers are going down my spine...

  • I think God would be very pleased with this piece and Jesus as well, peace be with you!!

  • Absolutely Epic !!!!!!!! - i love how at 6:03, - he looks back at the band like -

-you guys are gonna change here - right ??

  • That is Derek Trucks! and I cannot even imagine how they must feel deep inside when they ponder playing these pieces NOW with all their musical growth, their spiritual journeying, vs. when they played these pieces way back in the 70's when they first wrote and played these songs as young, green, men.

  • Guys like Derek Trucks are the new generation that will take this wonderful old music forward after legends like Clapton and Winwood have left the scene. Thank God some of the younger talents recognize iconic music like this, the ABB, and other wonderful gems from the 60's and 70's. It's a beautiful thing to see him up there with Clapton and Winwood.

  • @buckfan1969 I agree so much, Derek Trucks is quite a great player and will surely be legend of this era

  • 3 people are in the presence of the antichrist

  • An inspiring performance!

  • Two of my heroes.

  • Have had the pleasure to be in the company of the most talented people but also one the nicest guys. Steve is a genius! This was another great display of it! Vegas w/ EC was tops.

  • @jsmeureka Dude! You met Steve Winwood?

  • buenisimo !!!

  • when eric takes two steps back .....watch the fuck out!!!!! solo time

  • @clintnicolan hahah so true.

  • I would have killed to go to this show!!

  • Muito boa esta canção, uma das melhores que eu já ouvi

  • Oh! I forgot to tell u about further on up the road. AND THAT WAS AN AWFULLY BIG MISTAKE BECAUSE IS HIS BEST SONG EVER!!!!!

  • There is an album called "E.C. was here". In this among 5-6 perfect or almost perfect songs Presence of the Lord, Drifting Blues really stand out!!! Listen to it dudes, its a win-win situation...

  • Love this...it's sooo beautiful..

  • One of the biggest highlights of the day for me! I agree with Bluesmanron.

  • Steve Winwood looks very English.

  • If I was Derek, I would have pissed myself.

  • The blonde hair guitarist and the left handed guitarists look really familiur. Anyone know who they are??

  • @airshotsphotoco Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall-they were both with Clapton when i saw him in concert on 2007 and Robert Cray opened and sang with Clapton for an encore of"Crossroads". I saw Winwood in 2008 and Clapton and Winwood in 2009 and they were great-in my opinion Winwood has the better voice of the two, but they are equal overall musicians.

  • i don't like what i see, but from 0:07 to about 0:12, steve smiles so quickly and fakely -- doesn't it seem like steve doesn't like eric that much? maybe thats why they hadn't played together for the prev. 25 years.. :(

  • @shpfask not very likely, they toured together in 2009

  • Nice

  • This is a clinic how Gospel music should sound. The original Cream version made your hairs stand at attention

  • @Limbofishful you mean 'Blind Faith' ??

  • @rogml Yes. I stand corrected. What a band.

  • WAAAAAAH WAAAAAAH PEDAL!!!! @ 3:33.. all i gotta say is just DAMN!! one of the greatest gutiar solos in history. the 2 seconds of pause before he drops the hammer gives me chills, just waiting for the growl of the strings...k...time to hit replay

    :-)

  • Heres Gospel music the way its suppose to sound. NO KUM BI YA HERE!!!!

  • As soon as that Hammond kicks in Eric is even better.

  • av;e been dyin ta play wiff her too iniy..oh whenst will it come to past?

  • chills...

  • Wow! That was an old memory brought back to life!

  • dare i share lizz wright's recent rendition of this song: youtube.com/watch?v=AHKuI9phOXc

  • clapton and winwood=magic

  • two truly great musiciansand yes what a reunion !

  • Vocals & some drums with feeling!

  • hope they sing this at the Albert Hall in May when we go to see them!! one of my all time favs from Blind Faith.

  • Ohhh this is great...

  • Steve Winwood still knows how to sing!!!! This man is a monster. I think Eric´s solo was not a huge solo but I almost cried when the two started singing together. This is a great moment!!!!

  • A very powerful preformance that got the reunion of Winwood and Clapton started off right. The Crossroads productions are some great musical feats and well produced.

  • I watched the Grammy's tonight, what a pathetic ritual of ass kissing each year, to try and be politically correct. But in the end they shake there ass and dance around with little class. But Eric and the guys put it all out there, they dont hide, they are virtual, if they screw up, oh well, but the sound is pure and talented, where can you find that. Where will we find it down the road....

  • Incredible!! I first saw steve live at Berkley Community Theater in '70' as Traffic. have been hooked on him ever since, then in 2006 I repaired his Leslie speaker at the Club Norva in Norfolk, and as I was working before the show, He came up and talked to me for about 15 minutes about music . What a prince, a genuinely down to earth guy and what chops!!!! I hope his B3 breaks down again near me.

  • On the Blind Faith album, only Steve Winwood sang, but in 30 years they got together again and sang duo! OMHG. I have loved both and seen their individual shows but never thought they could play together again. Really great musicans. Good Bless You Guys!

  • Fucking Eric Clapton. The man definitely chooses his notes well.

  • Doyle and Winwood! Great match...lefty excellence Bramhall!

  • I have watced this video many times and still get goose bumps,a great song and awesome band,Erics solo...perfection!

  • GOD BLESS OUR BOYS.

  • why Ginger isn't invited to play these short BF sets i don't understand..

  • @talpajam it would be too good

  • Clapton and Winwood still have IT!

  • An amazing song , performed by some of the greatest musicians of our era.

Eric , Stevie and Derek , dosn`t get much better

  • @shifty2377 No, no it doesn't!

  • Most underrated artist on stage.... Derek Trucks. EC has so much added to his songs when he has a fantastic slide player like DT or Duane Allman (RIP). Great song. Killer band!

  • This song is beautiful, no matter what it means to you. Just a great song.

  • @u2joshuadesireu congradulations on your faith, but thats not what the song is about

  • did you know he quit guitar i think it was once or twice, but he quit guitar because it was to "hard". XD

  • Steve... you sing so much better than Eric..

  • @methoxyroxy different not better, winwood is my favorite vocalist ever though

  • @methoxyroxy He sings better than everyone.

  • humbled

  • a song influenced by his FRIEND-BROTHER...GEORGE.. so....George he was support his friend to plays in first SOLO RECORD in Clapton...after to separated BLIND FAITH.... SOUL/ROCK....SONG. amazin' performin' WINWOOD/CLAPTON.

  • Oh, Stevie!

  • thank god i was at the crossroads in bridgeview il amazing people amazing 14 hours

  • Thanks for posting...some of my heroes.

    Grandma, Eire.

    "Respect" x

  • @vneach

  • one dislike...? name yourself please.

  • @u2joshuadesireu Clapton wrote this after buying a new house. This song is not about God or religion.

  • is that steve jordan on drums?

  • @bgrachus Yes, that's Steve Jordan on drums.

  • i bet they were high while writing this!

  • @Wizarous

I'm pretty sure the story goes, they rented a huge house in the country for a month or less and recorded all the songs on the album in like 2 takes each - at least without looking it up I think that was the story. I also don't think there were many days that Ginger Baker wasn't trippin or high, specially during this recording, lol

Not saying all were high, but Ginger didn't stop, maybe the other two did

  • is that derek trucks?

  • @Falcor37 YES

  • @Falcor37 Yes, That's Derek Trucks

  • @Falcor37 yep

  • @Falcor37 yeah

  • Praise Jesus! Stevie Winwood on the Hammond organ along with Slowhand. This is truly inspirational stuff.

  • D. Trucks

  • Watching Eric and Stevie, I feel like I am in the Presence of the Lord(s).........Derek adds the soulfulness of the South and Doyle, well, he's always got that SRV thing going on (but appreciated - just maybe not on these kinds of tunes - he butchered a few of Water's tunes on his Roger Water's tour - where Snowy White was much closer to a true session artist). Anyway, one hell of a performance ............... thanks for sharing!

  • God, I love that Hammond organ. ... Talk about being in the presence of the lord(s)!!

  • Went to Chicago specifically to see these two back together.

    It was a magical night.

  • It has been a long, long time.

  • this song isnt about being christian its about making decisions that make you a better person and how growing spiritually can open doors that were once blind to you before

  • @Rkilbury1983: Not true. I've read that Clapton made a brief commitment to Christianity sometime in between Cream and Blind Faith and he kicked drugs for awhile. He wrote this song during that period. That's what I've read anyways.

  • Glorious!

  • Blind Faith forever...2 icons of rock/blues spanning 5 decades

  • love it

  • this song and Can't Find My Way Home are two of the most classic songs in rock history from a band that produced only one album back in 1969, Blind Faith. Good to see Steve and Eric together again!!!

  • @BLUESMANRONCHICAGO I totally agree!! Awesome!!

  • I agree, 1 on the brits best talents..... noby knows

  • From the Soul of some great artist.Amen!!!!!

  • Very nice, I enjoyed the deepness of his prayer song, with a reality of who he is and who he is with the Lord . Keeping it real!!!! TY

  • BLESSINGS

  • so awesome to see the two back together sionging once again.

  • people ask me what was so great abouit growing up in the sixties? all i need do is mention two names, Winwood and Clapton!!!!!

  • @BLUESMANRONCHICAGO Hendrix? Page? Beck?

  • @klotzstang should clarify my comment in that i meant the two who played together in Blind Faith, too bad that band didn't stay together longer. Steve and Eric complimented each other well

  • @BLUESMANRONCHICAGO Oh, definitley. Their recent tour proved that. But, at times, they sound sort of alike, which adds to the harmony, sort of Blues/rock Everly Brothers.

  • Was just at the 2010 Guitarfest in Chicago, which was fabulous, saw these guys. was wishing they would play "Presence of the Lord", I didn't realize they played it in '07. Simply beautiful!

  • It is beautiful!!

  • i never get tired of listening to these guys perform together.

  • @andycichacki no one ever gets tired of hearing great musicians with songs that are classics!!! this was one of them from 1969!!!!!

  • saw them in the Netherlands about a week ago! Pure music... beautiful!

  • Comment removed

  • just seen the clapton -winwood concert 2 nights ago in paris what a blast!!!!! quelle soirée!!!!! nights like this one is really very rare!!!!!!

  • @gogogrant Yeah went to see them at wembley arena lasrt friday. excelent I was blown away by their playing. These are true musicians bearing in mind they did not have a support act or break, and played technically demanding pieces for two hours solid. as my wife pointed out when they played voodoo chile the only thing missing was having a spliff to pass around lol. Classic gotta see them again. although I would love to see Martin Taylor live sometime

  • Just a great song for people to draw close to God.

  • I saw these two play in Birmingham, England last night. It was amazing! Such incredible musicians!

  • I will be in the presence of the lords tomorrow.

  • Why don't the people at YouTube have another hand so you can you can give the songs and live shows a two thumbs up? Or if it's really bad, you could do a double "bird" :) By the by...I love this song!

  • you definitely compliment eachother. Great video

  • hey what's the title of the song playing at the very beginning of this video?

  • who is that on bass ?

  • @tannerleudy36 Willie Weeks

  • I saw the last American show at the Hollywood Bowl last year as a graduation gift

  • better than in 1969! superb! 5*

  • whow eric got the blues

  • Pietre miliari nella storia del blues bianco. Grande Performance.

  • a very sweet song done by two of the very best musicians still living and performing well together once again.

  • @busterbone when you say 2 you are leaving out Trucks who will one day be known as one of the best ever. If this guy was around in the 60s )when guitar was the driving force as opposed to today where it is vocals) everyone would know his name. Trucks is nasty.

  • I love Clapton's voice. He's improved so much over the years.

  • steve can play pretty much any intrument he wants lol

  • They're both singing with heart because they both believe in God. In Clapton's book, he said God delivered him from drinking in a moment of time, when he finally got humble and got on his knees and admitted he couldn't do it alone. Also Wynnwood is a church goer, the last I heard. "When you come to the end of yourself, that is where you will find God."

  • Winwood has the exact same voice he had 40 years ago

  • My Holy Week reflections....

  • saw them live last year-a concert of a lifetime! lads put on a quite spendidly jolly good show-as they say in old England.

  • Such an uplifting song. Fair play to the two boys.

  • Gee, Steve Winwood looks a lot like Conan O'Brian!

  • clapton is god

  • it is a miracle how music cuts right to the core

  • and they're gonna do it again this June, and yours truly is gonna be there!!!!!!

  • rub that in our faces. just joking. i am gonna try to get tickets

  • Great performance of a great song!! I love " Slow Hand" !!!!!!!!!

  • Derek Trucks as well. Just put this on. Coooooooooool.

  • About 15 years ago, me and my buddy listened to "Low Spark" by Traffic three times a day for the whole summer. It was on an old album too, with lots of scratches, which of course made it just that much better. -- this footage here is awesome, thanks for posting

  • gentle guitar kingS!

  • The real kinda music, takes so much talent and knowledge to create.

  • What a voice, better than ever, Stevie.

    A

  • Steve Winwood ... just so accomplished, just so good, whether on keyboard or guitar ... plus the other twenty instruments he can play. What a guy! In a better world, there are documentaries on people like him and not reality shows about Jersy Shore bimbos and bimbo housewives.

  • Not to mention Winwood's singing! I keep coming back to listen to him after 40 years.

  • well the real truth on that is they would make alot more money on shows like that because like 90% of america watch shit like that and because blues and rock are becoming second tier society to pop and rap hey man i feel ya it sucks

  • another excellent point ... how did another talented artist put it about the money factor, even gave a name for it ... The Green Maniiischi ... with the Two-Prong Crown.
