Haha i love how everyone talks more about your comptuer and what operating system it is (Ubuntu) then they do the actual mouse^^, That was a pretty neat mod although i dont see why? couldn't you put the led say in the back of the mouse to make the mouse glow, i noticed the sides were slightly translucent. either way nice vid.

i have a really small usb laptop mouse that i changed the red LED to blue and it works fine but i just have to use a light mouse pad instead of a dark one

red light has a shorter wave-length? is that why when it tried to mod it with a white LED it doesn't work?

Well, red is around 650nm, blue is around 450, so yes it's shorter.

Now white L.E.D.s are really blue, but it has a "yellow cover" (phosphor) to make it look white, that could somehow diminish the power.

If you see real close you'll see a kinda yellow square.

I guess we have to do some research on that.
