Russel probably has the strongest live performance ive seen though out of most singers.

Russell Allen is the best vocalist alive in my opinion, he puts down absolutely untouchable vocals to some of the most complex music around (Symphony X) and does it as if it's not even close to what he could potentially do.

This man has some mad vocal skills. Range, Control, and pure POWER. He can go from such a smooth, melodic and beautiful tone to such a hard, heavy, growly tone. Russell Allen is the best live singer i've ever seen. Saw him 3 or 4 times now, his vocal power, control, and range is jaw dropping. He def has a gift to sing, and it is amazing to watch. He is the only singer i've seen in the ballpark of Dio in his prime.

Russell is probably one of the most consistant live singers. Just listen to their live album. Flawless, really. And I think he has a really wide range, although not showcasing all he's got, as he doesn't make use of head voice very often.

What is incredible in Russell, is not much his voice's range (Which is prodigious), it's his tone unique to himself !

He can sing soflty, with a deep voice that reaches the bottom of your heart, like in Candlelight Fantasia, or he can go near the edge of the growling, in high or low notes, like in Evolution, and the effect is not brutal, but powerful.

Only Russell Allen can reach high notes while pushing them as loud as he can, while the lyrics are still understandable !

Rusell Allen is one of my favourite singers in metal history as well. You could have also chosen some songs from the Allen-Lande project (check it out if you havent, some songs are here in youtube) You have great taste for singers. I can believe some people don't like Rusell's vocals. I have a felling this series is gunna be one of my favourites!
