It was the 1st time a video game company made a NASCAR with more than just the Cup Series in the game, but the it was killed off by NASCAR Chase for the Cup which had the same concept
It was killed off by that yes, but it was also killed off by the fact that EA Sports bought out the NASCAR liscence in 2003, just before the release of NASCAR Thunder 2004 in September, so we couldn't see what Infogrames (at the time) could put out to really compete with EA Sports. EA Sports definitely stole the idea from Dirt to Daytona though.
Ok ass, next time you have NASCAR Heat 2002 for the XBox, let me know when you find Chicagoland in there, because I sure as hell couldn't find it. Also, read the damn info before you comment cause it clearly says up in the info that I used Vegas. Kthanks
NASCAR Heat 2002 sucks. We know Chicagoland is not in many of the older games, because it is a fairly new track. Get a real game like NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. A game that takes some talent to drive.
Actually, I do have the game, I just don't have the computer that can handle it. And NASCAR Heat 2002 or Dirt to Daytona is better than any EA game that gets released so I'm left with no choice but this game.
NR2003 is the greatest game I've seen for Nascar. It sucks though, I can't find it for sale anywhere. And Ebay wants a shit load of money for it. Mine broke. I with Papyres still made these, I'm not sure why they stopped.
I know man. The only reason why Papy stopped making NASCAR games was because EA Sports (as usual) were being bitches and they knew they couldnt make games like Papy did, so they bought out the exclusive NASCAR videogame liscence in mid-2003, therefore nobody else could make NASCAR games other than EA Sports. But now NASCAR saw how bad EA Sports was getting and now NASCAR is keeping their video game liscence open, which is why NASCAR is in GT5 and iRacing now
Vegas is kinda like Chicagoland.....Kansas woulda worked but Im guessin Kansas wouldnt be in the game since Kansas was instituted the same year as chicago
My thing is why have a NASCAR video game without all of the race tracks of all the series that are in the game and puting these fantasy tracks in there places.
Yeah, I tried to do this during a practice session, but I could never get it to come out right (I would always crash with Kenseth). After about a thousand times, it still didn't work right. I did it ok during a race, and I was like 'screw it, thats good enough'
Same here. That is why i bought Nascar 07. Hey, did you know the cheat where you can fire tires at cars for ps2? do quick race on Nascar heat, then do on the control pad: up, down, left, right, R1, up, up.
Not even close to what happened. Nice try though.

@KKFan9 what game is that NASCAR Heat 2002 or NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona?
NASCARWWEFan4Life 8 months ago
DIRT TO DAYTONA OWNS! Most realistic Nascar game on a console. Pretty sad considering it came out in 2000.

Yeah, I got my nr2003 for 100 dollars, but it was worth it. You gotta look at Amazon/ebay and any online site you can find if you wanna find it.
