I saw the AMC version a couple months back and was bummed that they had cut this intro, thanks for posting it. BTW, the R1 robot appears to be the space alien suit worn in the classic 'Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers.'
This is a great but strange movie. You listen to the script, I think it was written as a play. I'd love to find out more about it.
Robot model R-1 is an alien from "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers." The next two look like kids' Halloween costumes.
Calling this movie "cheap" is an understatement. It's a talk-fest filmed on minimalist sets that look like stage scenery. BUT, it has an intelligent script that actually presents some interesting ideas -- although the racial allegory is a bit heavy-handed. Boy, I just hate uppity clickers!
