  • omg dis is hilarious, dat was amazin

  • this is sooooo interesting. i love it. shame on african's that can't even try to speak their language. if the white folks can learn why can't the folks that have nigerian blood in them.

  • They mo' serious than Blacks Folks! God bless them.

  • They tried!

  • loooooool, omg, i cant stop laughin, bravo guys...keep it up!!!! im lovin' it

  • this is awesome. Good job guys

  • this is great...

  • Wow. Great effort guys. Y'all rock!

  • LMAO! HAHAHAHAHAHHAA, Yoruba yii ga oh

  • ha ha hahhahahaha, this is awesome but very hilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllarious. the accents is really really really really really really really awful, because yoruba is a very very tonal language meaning that a word could mean several things depending on how you pronounce it. But kudos to this guys, i can't even begin to imagine how hard it must have been for them. GREAT JOB GUYS.

  • @daveibukun Chinese is equally tonal, if not more so. Yet, the whole world is learning the language. You wait and see. Once Nigeria gets it right, and we also realize that we don't have to stifle our creativity by demonizing our mother tongue, you'll see the whole world rushing to learn Yoruba, Igbo, etc...

  • It sounds like they're speaking English with an English or German accent!! Hahaha!! This is nice though -I couldn't have done this.

  • That was cute!!

  • Bodeade ooto ni o so. But ease who are these people? Where are they from? I really love this.

  • understanding matters...lol this is good at least many yoruba boys and girls can't even speak like this..lol

  • dis is distrubing

  • @flirtybb you are right...lol understanding matters...lol this is good at least many yoruba boys and girls can't even speak like this..lol

  • AWESOME! I'm totally impressed. You guys rock. I am YORUBA learning Arabic & Hindi. I'm so self conscious speaking the languages w/ native speakers let alone act - BRAVO!

  • This is so cool thumb up for these guys.

  • This is amazing guys... I don't think i have laughed so hard in a long time. You all did a very decent job with the language, and i really enjoyed the play. And you all seem to have memorized your lines... Awesome!!!

  • OMG!!! That was soooooooo Amazingggg. love it.......

  • lmao mehn i cant stop laughing

good work though but with a couple of more practise u should get better

    good job

    up 9ja

  • u guys really tried.... very impressive

  • wow...thta was amazing

  • Cool! Thanks for putting that on. I like your multi-cultural approach

  • Whoa guys u hv all out done yourselves, you should all be proud of your achievements and all the YORUBAS that can't speak or read your language u should be ashamed

  • nice

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    they tried sa!!!

  • the amazing thing about this is that they can also read the yoruba language....now some yoruba people cant even read it.....it sounds more chinese than yoruba..but hey i understood everythang

  • Because some Yoruba parents are so daft! They encourage their children to embrace English and shun Yoruba! In Nigeria, these stupid parents go to the extent of scolding their children if they speak Yoruba in the household. We are talking of a Yoruba household where speaking in Yoruba is a SIN! Just imagine that! With all their years of oyinbo-wannabe there's absolutely no progress inn their society. Chinese and Japanese don't copy others - their text books are printed in their languages. Shit!

  • gosh, that was wicked,

    i love it

  • this is extreeeeeeeeeeeeemely hilarious. I can't even understand what they are saying.

  • waoooooooooooo.this is wonderful. Im so ashamed that my daughter cannot even speak my language......I must work on it from NOW. Yoruba is a beautiful language.

  • Impressive ya'll!!!!!!!!

    A job well done.

The accent would definitely have been too hard to get.

    Very hilarious indeed.

I'm so pleased to have watched this.

    Thank you!!!!!!!!!

  • Really good effort but very very funny. well done.

  • Good job. Well done. Great effort. Lots of kudos to you for doing this. Can't stop laughing though. Accent is atrocious but in a good way. Way to go!

  • Quite impressed actually. But for the accents, it would have been perfect. Now I worry that my German sounds like this in Zurich.

  • lol, what? i am not sure that is yoruba ooo

  • Bravo guys. Excellent job.pretty sure u didn't find it difficult as u thought it would be when u heard about the task.

  • wow amazing to speak a language hard like dat

  • Very nice!

  • This is so nice and i'm highly impressed with you guy's performance speaking my mother's tongue. By listening carefully, I was able to understand. I know how you feel cos, i had to learn to speak and write Finnish too and I can tell you I speak fluently. Keep up the good work. Hope to see more posts from you.

  • I am yoruba and I actually find the skit impressive. I should visit UMadison sometimes!

  • I was impressed! Some of the actors were quite clear to me. The Narrator and the cat? were good. The omo oba's first speefch was quite clear as well.

But all were understandable if you listened clearfully.

    very funny as well.

  • for real, im more dan impressed to see u guys do dis, forget bout d accent n all, d fact that u ran almost 10mins skit without reading it frm anywhere means u guys can actuali understand it, its just d tongue, im short of words. keep d effort going guys.

    1

  • Excellent effort, love the enthusiasm. Accents are atrocious though! lol. You guys would be dangerous to sit next to. (",) KUDOS!!!!

  • Atrocious is just about right, it took about 5 seconds after I heard each word to figure out what exactly they said... Woe-mii!! Woe-mi!!! lol

  • some good stuff!!!.... job well done!

  • gud job guys...lool...

  • Amazing!!!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • so glad u can all speak my language....

    very Impressive...

  • This is incredibly amazing. They did an extremely good job, how could they even begin to pronounce the words. That's like me acting in French, a language that i cannot even speak.

The accents are terrible though. lol.

  • The accent is soooooo bad!!! I know they're speaking Yoruba but meehnn thats about all i can understand and i'm Yoruba gan gan

  • @nurache understanding matters...lol this is good at least many yoruba boys and girls can't even speak like this..lol

  • You guys are awesome. I could understand you, kudos to you all and I think you should keep up the works. I knowit's ain't easy speaking a strange language 'cos I also live in a country where english ain't the main language.

    Well done

  • Im impressed, great job you guys did. I feel so proud of my language.

  • Not only proud of your language, but most importantly the culture, which has survived centuries of wars and tribulations, and still shining strong.

  • nice job thou but this is not good enough cos if its a black man trying to speak a western language in such manner it would be critised but nevertheless eku ise weldone

  • this is coolllllllllll

  • Wow.. This is HOT guys. Great job. i was able to understand as well. When is the trip to Nigeria?!?!

    j/k

    Again Good job guys
