It's a tadpole of an american bullfrog. I had some spawn in an outdoor turtle pond I had when I was a kid. Needless to say, my turtle ate most of them. The rest were lucky enough to escape when the pond overflowed during a deluge.

i think they are tiny planets that you can use to keep away wild chimpanzees... they will eventually grow into a rare bearded giraffe. well most of them... some of them might be killed by the oil spill. not 100% sure tho

They are American Toads. I just grew some from a puddle. It took about 3 weeks from the stage you show them in. I fed them lettuce until they grew legs. At that point I fed them little aphids. Ants were too fast for them. Once the front legs start to appear make sure you have rocks or driftwood that they can climb to. Otherwise they drown between the transformation stage. It's amazing how fast they change.
