WOW!!! So many homophobic hate mongers in here leaving so many hateful, ignorant comments and lies trying to defend this Exodus BS!!! Reparative therapy has never worked and it never will!!!
Exodus does NOT demonize the homosexual community or call them inferior. What BS. Quite obvious that none of these people have ever interacted with the organization.
@JakeCool727272 - become? the homo movement has always been like that. everybody who opposes them whether on scientific, religious or some otherr basis is a "bigot" for them.
I almost cannot believe this is still happening. If I were forced to change from heterosexual to lesbian, I'd jump off of a cliff. Same thing. These exodus people make this sound like it's a matter of "taste" or something. Our gay brothers and sisters can't be "cured" from their sexuality any more than a heterosexual can. What is it that exodus doesn't understand?
I personally believe that homosexuals who want to change should get the chance to change. But I believe that people that don't want to change should be treated fairly and like any other person. But I hate it that there is so much hatred and disgust towards all people.
"An opinion is like a buttcrack, everyone has one and they all stink". (including mine)

I am saddened when I see so much hatred in between the groups. Now, I am not saying that any one group is better, but I believe that both groups have gone too far. I personally don't agree with homosexuality, but I think it is extremely unfair for a person (Specifically conservative chrisitans) to say that all gays are going to hell and that they should get out of that scene.
The issue isn't whether you were born this way or not. The problem is that it is sin (like any other sin). The answer is that Jesus can transform the homosexual, as He can any other sinner. I personally know of former homosexuals transformed by the grace and power of God. But, "few are those who find (choose) it" Still, Jesus loves you and desires for you to be saved and transformed.
Certainly some people are born with a propensity to certain struggles in this life like homosexuality, pedophilia, rape, alcoholism, drug addiction, etc...this is the result of living in a fallen world. Many heterosexuals struggle with lust and a desire to commit fornicationa and adultery (just as sinful)...but just becasue people struggle with such desires does not make it acceptable to do them! The problem is that these folks are rebellious and have no desire to obediently follow the Lord.
I am shocked that Exodus went so far as to go to Uganda. They are people who go for conversion therapy, but they claim not to, well, throw stones on their webpage. I should say that I disagree with them in general.
WOW, what a cult. Don't they know about MRI brain scans prove what sexual orientation a person was born as? I know this is a new science, but it has been around three years now that put this baby to bed.
Only an ignorant bigot would call gays perverts and such bigot is most likely a closet case.
Homophobia soon to be mental illness according to APA. See ruling and know treatment will be available for all bigots.
Bigotry is a lifestyle choice while sexual orientation is not.
I'd be interested to know if anyone has seen people that work at/with exodus have protested homosexuality. Not the wacko "fake christians" but exodus.
Whether a group achieves equality or not, no one can stop them from fighting for it. But I do know the description of this vid is BS! From listening to dif. perspectives (interviewing) I met 3 people who went to the exodus program and said it was a supportive growing experience. 2 of them are today happy with their gay sexuality. It was simply a step in their journey for figuring out what they wanted. Who are you to judge what is best for them? Sad a vid descrip is so full of anger and hatred.
What an ignorant thing to say. Anyone who has spent any time at all collecting interviews or research on Exodus will know how many suicides there are associated to this "supportive" program. And who are you to say someone shouldn't accept who he or she is? We should be angry at organizations who thrive on self hatred.
@djdicrispino Exodus actually focuses on the love God has for you as his child. There is NO hate involved in that ministry. I am gay and I have nothing but respect and admiration for everything they do. Don't beleive all the rhetoric you hear. Oh yeah and btw the gay community already has one of the highest suicide rates. Maybe we can change that by letting them know how much God loves them.
@nwoshock2012 God can't change the suicide rate. Humans can. Too many prejudiced people are hating on gay and lesbian youth and there are no outlets for them to live their lives as they were born to. People need to treat fellow humans with the respect they deserve.
I have always been encouraged, loved, and inspired at these events. I have never felt like I was being pushed to be somebody I am not. In fact, I come to realize more who it is that I am. I must also say that some of the information mentioned above regarding Exodus and Uganda are missinformed. In fact, they stand against what is happening in Uganda. I say all of this with a Transgendered past and now living a very fullfilling life on a Post-Gay journey.
I must also say that the people who profess the gay agenda are bigots themselves, think about it...no side picking here, just observing the hypocrisy.
My gawd, what are you talking about? Fighting for the same rights makes us bigots? Fighting to protect gay youth from the evil of Exodus makes us bigots? You are incredibly ignorant.
Homosexuality does not need a cure, and "being" homosexual is not sinful. Exodus attempts to offer another way out for those who are homosexual/bisexual that want to live in coherance with God's word. Secondly, Homosexuality should not be an identity...I don't introduce myself by saying "Hello! Nice to meet you, I'm gay." I say "Hello! Nice to meet you, my name is..."
Sexual identity is not "who we are," we are already identified in Christ.
You are deceived and your comments do not reflect God's word. You words are well thought out, well presented, but false. It is sinful, but Jesus remains the cure. He does not come to cure the homosexual. He comes to transform the sinner. Homosexuality is simply on expression of the sin nature. Jesus is the full expression of redemption of the sinner.
Changing who you are is never possible. You can only delude yourself into thinking repairative therapy works. Maybe that's why all governing bodies of mental health renounce Exodus and the ex-gay movement.
Where do you live? I live in Florida and have a home in Indiana..... Im able to fly anywhere in America, Will you meet me for coffee i would love to discuss why you think it could even possibly be a choice

"God is love". He loves us right where we are-whether we are where we're supposed to be or not. LOVE comes in the form of care, truth, discipline, boundaries, and restoration. LOVE without truth isn't love and TRUTH without love isn't loving. Exodus' mission isn't converting people from gay2straight, but to point to Christ for holiness. Exodus isn't the enemy or any of the other things mentioned in this video. What I see is hurting people acting out and hoping to justify their brokenness & pain.
If everyone there is "broken," how do you explain the fair minded, loving heterosexuals that are present calling shenanigans on Exodus? Jesus is so pissed!
