I played lots of these kinds of games as a kid - CnC was first, then I think I got this, then AoE and AoE II, then Earth 2150: Moon Project. So many good games!! My AoE discs broke (Wouldn't work on my PC anyway) but I still have CnC, Warzone 2100, and the Moon Project! I swear looking back at this game it reminds me a lot of the Moon Project - at least quite similar.

this is my very first RTS game i play on my life, it really stupid shame that i dont have memory card unit to save the game, so i need to play it and not turn it off.

it took me almost week to clear this game and then it all gone because of no save.

How do you designate groups during battle?

Grouping units are only available at PC version, in Windows operating system, highlight the units you want to group and then press "CTRL+1", up to ten groups. (Highlight = using mouse drag or make a box to select lots of objects) (CRTL+1 = hold CTRL and then press 1) I'm sorry if I explain it literally, in case you don't know the terms. =)

Ask your software vendor(MS) who made you "vendor locked-in" for help and support. I'm pretty sure if it is good vendor, you'll recieve help and support.

Yes but free version doesnt contain the cool music and video, there is some group that is redoing the mod but its taking ages and doesnt feel like the original at all.

Mission 12 eh?! Uhm what I know is... You should not go directly to the main base, eradicate all the secondary bases (on map: red spot) and bout going to the main base try to use the another way (right way). Hope this help.

what you need to do is go to the base,w hen your at the base their transporters like your own WILL NOT LAND when your near their LZ.

I just love this Game. Too bad almost no one else plays this game. Such a shame. I first played this game when I was 6 years old. It was fantastic. It just showed how will Earth look like if we keep going like this. Awesome game.

I totally agree with you! Nobody has ever heard of this game and I think it should be a classic. Few other games have allowed you to research AND design your own technology. I'm just working on getting it to run in Vista. I still have original install CD's but I'm currently downloading the free version. I just found out today that its open source which is pretty sweet. Good decision on part of the developers.

@stellarnightskys are you taking the piss you never heard of this game !!!, this is a must have and the hours of fun i had with this game when i was a kid was unbelivable, this game is a true PC classic and it dominates most RTS games even today. would love to see a new version and even more so the continue of warzone 2120

The music was pretty sweet. I think the Playstation disk, if played in a CD player, allowed you to listen to the music as was often the case with PS1 CD's.

It still is being played people, I help rebuild and resurrect the game right now.

And stellarnightskys it was not the developers who made it free, it was me and the rest of the people on the project, they got the GPL from Pumpkin studios to allow us to modify and release the game, we however are not allowed to have the original music, or the FMV's (Sadly enough).

So google "Warzone2100 resurrection" and you will find the new Improved, updated, more fun multilayer version :) HAVE FUN

I have been reciently remixing and changing the original music of the original too.

The WZ2100 group is fairly big compared to our WZ2200 group.

We are going to be making the next game :)

its coming along great, HUGE improvement to tha graphics.

I know what you mean, there are allot of people who do not know the game, but there are also allot of people who LOVE it.

It was a 3rd generation game, and a very good example of how unique it was.
