  • im egyptian and hope to visit maldives

  • looks like a great place. I am not sure why people always have to bring religion into things. if the maldives were under sharia law the resorts would not be there. ignorant people need do their research.

  • The 1997 Constitution of the Maldives designates Islam as the official state religion. The Government interprets this provision to impose a requirement that citizens be Muslims. Freedom of religion is restricted significantly. The law prohibits the practice by Maldivian citizens of any religion other than Islam. The president is the "supreme authority to propagate the tenets of Islam." Government regulations are based on Islamic law (Shari'a).

    "Paradise" for a qufr!

  • This is definitively a destination to put on my bucket list!

  • I'm a filthy christian pig infidel scuba diver... was going to go to Maldives for a vacation, now changed my mind after seeing the infamous Maldives Wedding video. I think I'll wait until after the global warming flood puts the Malves underwater. Should be a more interesting dive from a filthy christian pig infidel dive boat.

Maldives new president was in Italy, I saw him. Such a cool president, very very friendly.

  • awesome video!!

  • in harmony with environment ... @ 1:38

hard to believe; 80% of the sharks were killed in the last few years because of shark finning; there is a need for improvement; above water (recycling, litter control) and under water (by stopping cutting of the fins and throw the alive shark back into water).

That would make this location an overall recommendation

  • what a great clip
