I'm not into drifting because it slows you down. I prefer the disipline of going as fast as possible and keepin it straight. I raced dirt and drove it much the same way. hanging it WAY out is fun but it's not the fastest way generally. If I wanted to drift I'd be more inclined to rally cross, they drift the fuck out of them. I guess I don't understand how drifting is turned into competition, how do you win? I do love racing and drift has some of that same skill set. They must buy a lot of tires

@505197 Drifting slows you down? huh? There is competitions around the world now. I mean it wasn't really big else where than japan. But now days the fan base for drifting getting a lot bigger. The top drift teams with all the sponsors don't really care about the tyres because they get them for free. Although the low budget teams just go to used tires. They going to get wrecked anyway. ;)

@7jordan1992 It does on pavement, if it was faster you'd see F1 hanging it out Off road then obviously hanging it out like a drifter is the way to go. Even then keeping it as straight as possible is the fastest way, over sliding it will just slow you gettin it hooked back up and going forward. Driftin looks like fun, I just prefer to race while doing something similar on dirt. A 1/4 mile dirt track is a hoot. I really liked pavement also, it takes a touch to run on on the edge and be fast.

Okay i love both imports and muscle cars both, each has their own distinct characteristics that make them great, for example you can get monsterous acceleration out of a chevelle ss with the right parts, but most import cars are 5-6 gears making them capable of higher top speeds, i dont feel one is better than the other just different in their own way.
