mate, part 36 and you still cant do it....come on...
doesnt look like your getting a good enough pop. bend down more and when you smack down with your foot remember to take your entire weight off of your front foot or else your pop will be shit.
just keep trying. i just started skating and cant ollie yet either. but i did find another way to jump my board, i just do a BONELESS instead to get over obstacles until i can ollie.
the fact this is part 36 makes me feel bad for you. its just an ollie, commit, and look at yourslef in your vids compared to a pro's ollie and see what your doing wrong. put more weight over your front foot also that will help level out the board. good luck
If you really want real advice... your just being a panzy and not committing at all. Your to scared to even try the olli, you almost pop and then just jump off the board into the grass. Man up.
dude get some skate shoes, no lie lol, i dont skate, but im gonna start again like i used to, but ive tried to skate on my friends boards and i cant ollie worth shit in chucks, so maybe try some new shoes
You're putting your front foot way too far up the board and on your bolts when it should be in the middle of the board so you have room to slide up the board and even it out after you pop the tail. You HAVE to learn how to ollie b4 you try most other tricks too. Remember to POP the tail and don't wait for your nose to be an inch away from the curb if you're trying to ollie up something. And you have to COMMIT to any new trick you're trying to learn even if it means bustin ure ass. Good luck!
your not jumping with the board your just lifting up like a manual. bend your knees more, actually pop the tail as you are jumping up and slide your front foot forward. Front foot should always be in contact with the board. It isn't in your video thats why you keep losing it.
put your front foot a little back from the front bolts, and bend down more, and instead of sliding your front foot across the board, scoop it toward the nose, and JUMP A LOT MORE!
All you have to do is bend your knees a lot and then pop a lot harder, you're kinda just barely pushing down and trying to get up to fast, trust me i went through this to, its a lot harder than it seems at first.
Try rolling ollies slowly and then perfect and gain speed as you get better remember you dont have to go super fast to hop up something you can do it slowly too.
Some people on this dont know what they are talking about, all you need to do is bend your knees a little more and drag your front foot up after you pop to make the board level out. If you have any questions at all about skateboarding feel free to send me a message.
YOur front foot is too close to the bolts, CURVE your foot and slide with the side of your foot. Also, jump higher and pop harder. And your not crouching.
Your tail is sliding because you have to pop harder and faster.
bend your knees slow down & commit to the ollie if you fall you fall your way more confident doing stationary ollies than rolling & you can tell by your body positioning bend bend bend roll that front foot and bend your knees when you land
put your front foot lower, it's too close to the front bolts! jump man, your not jumping, that's the whole point of the ollie, if you don't jump there is no point. When you finally begin to start jumping, load a bit of weight into your back foot then jump forward while simataneously dragging your front foot forward. You have to do it in a snap aka one hit.
it looks like you're kind of 'throwing' the tail down to the ground.
try just standing on the tail with your front foot on the bolts to see how far exactly you need to push the tail down, then keep that in mind when 'popping'
Your front foot is coming completely off the board when you jump. The pop isn't what gets the tail high, it's sliding the front foot up to the nose, getting your back foot out of the way, and leveling the board that does that. That's why you move your foot back on the board to ollie higher rather than trying to somehow pop harder.
Popping just gets the board to start moving up with you. Ollieing is about jumping with the board "attached" to your feet, not about bouncing it over things.
well its all good you should practice olling before you get to the curb like at least 6 inches away from it or right as you get to to cement from the asfault (black/gray)
y u no jump

The tail is sliding along because you're not sliding your foot up anymore to balance out the board and drag the tail up with the rest of the board.

WATCH MY HOW TO OLLIE VIDEO!

within the first couple seconds of watching your video i automatically new what you were doing wrong..
Put your front foot farther back. The further back it is the higher you will ollie, and the closer to the nose the more distance you will have.
i would suggest you watch my how to ollie video. Hope this helps

exelent man, u almost have them, i think u just need to bend your kneed more to get that pop
i hvnt been skateboarding for a while now, it kinda sucks, i really need the weather to change soon :(
aiden5793 2 years ago
firstly you need to bend your knees before ou jump and secondly to stop the tail from dragging make sure you jump upwards instead of towards the curb

try just standing on the tail with your front foot on the bolts to see how far exactly you need to push the tail down, then keep that in mind when 'popping'
and ollie a bit more before your obstacle...
and your knees of course. a little more bending
