You don't understand exactly how much is done for these people everyday. We've built new buildings, given medical care, taught job skills. You have to be so careful because everyone we are helping achieve a better life has to be afraid of everything. In order to get help and make their lives better, they have to risk their life. There are so many things they could be killed for, and we're trying to save them from that. But you don't take the time to see that. Pathetic. Do some research next time

i think we are forgetting that the death toll of 200,000 in WWII is 200 times greater than Afghanistan and happened in half the amount of time. While it is cruel to define a human life in numbers, its a bit extreme to call this a horrible waste of human life when we are only losing 1 soldier every couple of days (great in terms of war). The situation is too sophisticated to define in simple partisan hackery but calling this a war to end all wars is just stupid.

Did the Kabul Conference vote to give Kazai $530 million on top of what they already give him...I mean Afganstan rebuild infrastructure, etc. Apparently we are are dealing with one of the most corrupt countries in the world, and what with Taliban demanding money so convoy's are not attacked the whole deal is a mess.  The Taliban use the money to kill more Coalition troops, improve communications, and so on.

Thanks to American presence in Afghanistan but personally I think this is not the way that they can overcome Talibans. Their mission is to kill Taliban, Why don't they destroy the setups that produces many talibans everyday. They have provided countless tons of food, water, medicine, toys, helpful products. They have built countless infrastructure projects like wells, sewage systems, electrical grids, schools, hospitals, clinics and community centers. They have done good with the bad.
