  • this is so cool!

  • While, the RPN NewsWatch did use News Series 2000 from July 2, 1984 to February 28, 1986 and October 9, 1989 to September 30, 1994

  • wow Melanie Lawson is still giving us news

  • StukinBuf, I think Melaine Lawson joined KTRK somewhere around 81 or 82 I'm not sure, but I'll check out the KTRK website.

  • Houstontvnews, my cousin told me that Diana Fallis was let go after an embarrassing incident where she fell down on the newsdesk somewhere around 82-83 I think.

  • Houstontvnews, do you also have the 1986 KTRK weekend 10pm newcast videos ?

  • Those KTRK graphics look like KGO's Graphics in 1988 and the open looks like they borrowed the ABC News Globe

  • wow back hen the news wasn all about the evils of the own but about the brightness of the own

  • wow the oilers

  • When Angelo Castro, Jr. is anchoring in Manila...

"Your Watching Channel 2, DWWX-TV Metro Manila, Number 1 in Metro Manila, The World Tonight with Angelo Castro, Jr. and Loren Legarda, Ces Oreña-Drilon on Business and Dyan Castillejo on Sports, now The World Tonight." -Doug Tisdale

  • You mean the Loren Legarda the VP with Villar was actually an anchor on ABS-CBN in 1985. When ABS-CBN used Cool hand Luke. Please upload it.

  • Van Hackett! I remember him. I had forgotten about him...

    Thanks for posting!

  • Van Hackett I think I heard of him in Los Angeles and in NYC.

  • I think he reported on Channel 9 in New York in the late 80s/early 90s with Jennifer Valoppi.

  • 7-day forecast!?

  • i just wanted to ask how to you record all this videos

  • Just curious... was Ms. Lawson the weekend anchor in 1978? I recall, about a month before turning 8, my folks and I lived in Louisiana(New Iberia) and used the early part of Thanksgiving week to see my uncle in Houston. After we got into the hotel, we turned on the 5:30 Eyewitness News show, and I recall someone looking like her at the anchor desk.

  • It was actually a woman named Diana Fallis who was also a reporter at the time. I might have a clip from the late 70s when she was anchoring, and I'll upload it when I find it!

  • Thanks.

  • haha I remember when the 3-day forecast looked like that. Good memories

  • I can't believe you have the exact full newscast where the mix up was made.
