Do you know if this was ever fixed or what the current plans are for it? When I was out there the other day (happened to end up in that area while driving around), I noticed that there didn't appear to be any power going to it, so that could be the issue.
This one was also part of the original Fernald nuclear disaster warning system. This 612 was actually on the south side plant site along with another 1212 mouted on the water tower on north side plant site. It is 26 years old.
Yep, thats a disappointment. I like how the county does a short alert for growl, because electronic aren't capable of that regular growl. Are the 1212s here dual-tone? It sounds like it.
Awww, it's kinda sad....

those 1212s sound scary

MY gosh that'd be purely SCARY to hear in the event of real disaster.

Aw man! too bad it didn't go off. Great ambiance of the others, though!
This 612 looks quite shiny. Perhaps a new paint job, or newly installed?

I think that 1212 is gone.

Can you get a video of the 1212 going off at the plant?

Nice video. Sorry that it failed. At least you have those sirens. Brookpark had their EOWS 612's replaced by FS 2001-130's.
:(

Well this is the only 612 that we have so you could imagine my disappointment. :( This and the 1212 siratones are slowly being replace with T-128s
Jpressman8 2 years ago
These are starting to disappear too. Lost 4 1212s yesterday replaced by T-128s

That Sucks!! Every EOWS 612 and 1 SiraTone 1212 siren was replaced in 2007. :|
