All those countries, besides suffering even more than Spain ever did under Franco , their economies based in the Soviet Communist system was a disaster, in actuallity these countries with the expeption of the former East Germany for obvious reasons, all are still running behind Western Europe, even 20 yrs later. But the Soviets started getting involved at the Civil War when it had already begun, and even thought, they didn't get too involved, just send some soldiers and weapons to the Republican goverment. And this was necesary because the fascist countries (Germany and Italy) had provided a lot of bellic equipment and troops to Franco and Mola's troops at the very begining of the war. Remember...

And what you said about the succesion of Franco, actually, he tried to. Luckily Juan Carlos I didn't do so and established the democracy.

@couvax El problema es que un himno no solo te tiene que gustar, tiene que representar a la población. Por muy acertada o desacertada que sea la letra, este himno es imposible que represente a una gran parte de la población.

A mi me parece fabuloso que ensalce el trabajo, pero viniendo de donde viene pienso ¿Que trabajo ensalza? El de conseguir las cosas por tus propios medios y currartelo o el de sirvir al estado sin rechistar aunque te pisen el graznate? (por ejemplo)
