Stage 6 has a second boss that the arcades doesn't have. I too used the max speed of 3. 4 speeds are just to damn fast to control.

And you found a nice spot to stay in stage 7 final boss.

And at level 8 you could't stay in the center like that. Every time the boss shoots, those «flower things» would reach you. The arcade is even harder.

Anyway, well done.

Wow now I know why the pros stop playing this game after the first 5 levels. They pretty much give you the game if U got the 2 side stuff

One of the ways I used to clock this game was to have max speed of 3 all the way through (after picking up 3x "S")

Max speed I used to crash into things 2-3 works better against enemy bullet speed :)

@smellyear dude its not as easy as it looks. Try it yourself..and you will still have your balls handed to you from time to time, no matta wat level.

I cant figure R-type out. WHY are level 1-4 pure genious, and why do level 5-8 suck asssss?

Its like the totally ran out of ideas after the first four levels. Too bad, this game could have been the greatest old time shooter of all.
