Yes, well this year is the 150th Anniversary. They invited Obama, but i think only the Governor is coming. Blocking off the streets. Ironically im Colonial Reenacting at an older historic building in another part of the County, during the height of our the John Brown events.
I used to live in MD about 30 minutes from Harper's Ferry. I went to school in WV too. I have been there more times than I can count. We used to hike and camp on parts of the AT. Its a great place to spend a day or two combing.
A friend of mine that grew up in Brownsville, MD had a house in which the kitchen, root cellar pantry off the kitchen, and parts expanding out into the dining room area, was was supposed to be a part of a cabin John Brown spent time in. It was a cool place.
