Is freebording really like snowboarding? Because i've snowboarding for about 7 years now and im loving it as much now as i did at the start. I also picked up a longboard last summer. So will i feel a bit more comfort? Or is it like learning a entire new thing?

Freebord is a whole different feeling then longboarding, I would highly recommend ing freebording a try. It does take a lot of practice to become good. And you have to expect catching an edge and landing on your face/ass. But I love the freebord.

Question:

How does the board react when the back trucks are too tight?

When the back trucks are too loose, the board won't slide as well, correct?

Also, I think it would be a good point to tell people where to look. Beginners may be looking at the board, their feet, or the curb they are going to crash into rather than where they WANT to go. If you look at the curb... you'll hit the curb. If you look at your feet.... you're gonna fall.

theres a reason you should never try to recreate the feel of snowboarding on asphalt. because that one time catching an edge on a freebord will immediately steer everyone away from freebording. really just looks like a longboard with training wheels.

freebords are amazing because i have same enjoyment to snowboard (its a good thing, longboards got boring). but if you ride one, atleast wear a helmet. i fractured my skull an almost died, my helmet was on loose an it fell off when i hit the concrete. catching an edge on these is not fun, your now falling in snow.

I have skated everything with wheels, the Freebord affords you awesome control at high speeds. Speedboarding at more than 60km you're only way to slow down is footbraking. If you think you can powerslide a regular longboard at speed then you are plain tripping. The new Freebords look awesome, I'm getting one !

I longboard and when I need to break, I will put my foot down or slide and if I don't have any gloves, I will risk some road rash on my hands and go for a coleman slide. these just look like one of the most insane and unsafe boards I have ever seen. i'm sure they are loads of fun but when it comes down to it, you are snowboarding on pavement, and I have seen my share of snowboarders wipe out hard on snow..

i currently freebord and longboard, the both have there postitive and negatives but it is just what you prefer, you dont have the speed control on a longboard then you get on a freebord but in saying that you wont get the stability of riding a longboard.
