  • Learnin' to fly...

    Don't give up!!!

  • @anothermarky86_hey_first_my_space_bar_broke._Ok_ second_I_like_the_side_mirrors!_Whats_the_name_of_them?

  • Nice! seemed to get alot better once the camera was on his bike lol

  • show this to the insurance company

  • lean back and get it far enough back it took me a lil while now i got my stunt bike and trying to go pro

  • At the point your bike is going up , your body move forward! Thats your problem!

  • i learned in my shirt wtf, and BTW i have an 06 gixxer 6 and these bikes were DESIGNED not to wanna wheelie, the motor is more forward and lowered in the frame

  • @doghunter100 Agreed, dog hunter. Out of the 600's, the GSXRs are probably going to be the hardest to hold a wheelie on. I have an 09 Gixxer 6, and you can get it up easily enough, it's staying up thats the problem. Hell, just rolling at full throttle and hitting 13,500 rpm my front end comes up a bit.

  • Id be scared to learn wheelie on a such a good bike...

  • Almost there, jus lean back a bit more n it will come up higher to the balance point. Get over the fear n stop leaning forward every time it's coming up. Know your power band and find your sweet spot with speed and rpm. Mine is 2nd gear, 55mph for clutchn up sitdowns.. r1 tho..

  • lol really? ok looked like a long sleaved shirt with a t shirt over it.....leathers all over if its first time though......knee surfing is no fun in pants

  • hhhhhmmmm learning to wheelie in shirt and pants....nah !!! get on some leathers

  • @split196 Little intoxicated right now so I apologize in advance. He did have pants on, but at-least he was actually in a jacket, that you looked over.

  • @split196 Also I will be the first to always recommend full gear all the time, not even doing wheelies.

  • nice

  • that dude dont know how to wheelie.. you better stop before u hurt urself......

  • @LightningMAS Your grammar is horrible, you should stop replying before you hurt yourself.

  • @anothermarky86 lol.. i could of done it the regular english ways, but i rather do it my way.. thanks.

  • @LightningMAS Just so you know I don't think any one knows how to wheelie until they learn. This was his first time ever trying. I don't think I have even seen the guy in the video in the last two years since I left for school.

  • @anothermarky86 oh ok. its all good... but, he needs to wear gears at least.. going down on street sucks..

  • @LightningMAS Yeah, people shouldn't try to learn how to do stuff, we should all sit at home under our covers before we get hurt. Hey speaking of which, Christopher Columbus should have done the same, and so should the Wright Brothers. Hell, everyone should never have left their mother's womb.

  • @LightningMAS he must lear sometimes

  • @LightningMAS If everyone had that attitude no one would ever learn or try anything. Everyone has to start somewhere.

  • that's a nice stretch of road to have some fun on

  • hey man what gear were u in and are u just hitting the cluch for a sec. or wat

  • @dcextreme4x4 He was in first for the sitdowns and second in the standups. At the second part of the video when the guy on the gsxr has the camera its just a really fast slip of the clutch.

  • pretty good. u got it at the end

  • what rpm are up using to pop it up . and what rpms are u at when its holding ?

  • @mikev951

Try not to look at the rpm's and just get used to the motion and when you start doing it repetitively it will just become habit.

  • yea, i learned in about two days of practice, yet i practiced alot. If you really love doing wheelies then you will learn faster because i was so anxious, now i love doing wheelies on the parkway haha

  • Lol you know the cameraman had to get him some!

  • Your getting there. I started the same way. You need to stay on the throttle though and get the front end up higher. Keep it up though you'll get it. Check out some of my vids, comment and sub...

  • @Urbanlegenz1

Hes a friend of mine check out my other videos as well

  • is it very hard to learn how to wheelie ?

  • @03LancerDude

It takes a while getting used to it but once it clicks in its so repetitive that it becomes as easy as just riding normally. Gotta be very safe when learning though.

  • @03LancerDude yea, i learned in about two days of practice, yet i practiced alot. If you really love doing wheelies then you will learn faster because i was so anxious, now i love doing wheelies on the parkway haha

  • nice vid, what year is ur bike?

  • @drummerkid69

I think his was an 08

  • that's a very good start to learning good wheelies... keep up the good work. slowly get comfortable with doing standups using the staggered formation n keep ur foot on the rear brake!!!

  • tell him to get his wieght off the tank for one, he practically laying on it.....work on balance point and rear brake control. hit a parking lot or something. better yet, jump on a dirtbike, practice on that

  • @elsunn

Yeah he knows, he has heard it all before. But learning on something else that is a little smaller/lighter is always a good idea.

  • smaller lighter, and not so expensive :D

  • Expensive way to learn how to wheelie. Try a bike first to get your balance down.

  • höhöhöhö

  • fuck its hard just to do that on the 08 you guyd make it look easy

  • camera mans got his shit down

  • what gear and rpm when you wheelie? and do you stand up or you just sit when you wheelie?

  • On my R6 i could pull it up in second goin about 45 mph, all i had to do was give it a little "bounce" and up she would go, say like ur tryin to do a wheelie on a bmx(same motion) never really liked clutchin it up, youll find this way much smoother...oh and tryn not to lean forward when doin the wheelie (natural reflex though) and sit as far back on the set as u can...Good Luck!!!

  • I do not advise power wheelies. Clutching it is the way to go and is actually much more smooth when you get the technique down. Its when people are first starting to clutch and can't do all the movements at the same time. This guy was just learning. You can check out my other videos for more wheelies or track riding as well.

  • whats wrong with power wheelies?? i would imagine it would save ur clutch for a bit longer

  • If done properly the clutch will last like normal, because its just a fast slip. Power wheelies usually make it so you are chasing the front wheel. If you clutch it you can get it to bp right away. Also in order to get a power wheelie

  • @anothermarky86 that is because it is a 600. slipping clutch is bad for your clutch plates. there is nothing wrong with power wheelies..plus way more fun..in my opinion. I agree with grabbing throttle and leaning back, the smaller cc bikes might need a little bounce to help it up. plus so much better for the bike.

  • hay man how do you get ur wheelie up? i got a 600 also and i need some advice on being able to pick my front end up. if u can give me a quick run down on what you do to do so i"d appreciate it man

  • Adjust the clutch so you can use just your index finger to disengage it. Pull it in while simultaneously revving up the bike. Let the clutch back out and keep twisting the throttle back. That way you don't chop the throttle closed. This entire process should only take 1 second.

  • rev it to the limiter and drop the clutch as fast as possible. that ought to get it up. by the way you should learn on something more forgiving then a 600. like an xr 100 and learn to use the rear brake right off the bat or else you're going to flip it, not be able to let off the throttle, nail a curb, catch air right into a tree. break your tibia and get 30 stitches from the gear shifter. once you got the rear brake down, its game over bitches

  • @lego720 hahaha totally agreed. I think you and I have been through that stage..rear brake will save your life.

  • with a 600 you will have to clutch it up man.

  • did u change the translation of your bike or is it the normal one?

  • Translation?

  • i mean your chain ring

  • Chain ring? You mean sprocket teeth? If so no the bike had stock sprockets.

  • thats what i mean :D i guess stock is sth like 16/45 in america?

  • Its cool I had to look up chain ring and bicycle sprockets popped up and that's the only reason I figured that out lol. Not actually sure what stock gearing is.

  • many riders here change it just like the stunt riders in america but not that much.

the more sprocket teeth you have the faster u can accelarete and if u have already 2-3 more u notice that and wheelies are much more easier

  • The most common gearing change is -1 front +2 rear.

  • keep in mind though that when your adding those teeth and increasing that torque and bottom end, you are loosin top speed as well. Just something to consider.

  • stock gearing on my 03 gixxer 600 is 16 front 45 rear, but if u really wanna start doing better wheelies, change that the next time u need a new chain/sprockets, i went 520 chain conversion 15 tooth front sprocket and 47 in the rear, if u love to get that front light that 520convertion has been called "wheelie sprockets" wihout killing to much top end

  • are u doing them in first or second? if it is first let it hit about five grand and then pop the clutch but the road ur on is absolutely perfect

  • do either of you have a stabilizer?

  • All wheelies were done on the gsxr 600. The gsxr 600 I believe has a stock damper. The stock dampers suck but can be flushed and heavier better oil can be put in.

Damper is a good thing to have when doing wheelies.

  • Comment removed

  • the camera man is a zx10r, they come with ohlin damper out of factory. you can see it in the video

  • the camera man hoped on the gsxr though for the wheelies at the end. The gsxr also has a stock damper.

  • you can clearly see in the video, the camera man is riding a gixxer, you idiot.

  • The camera man is on a kawasaki in the beginning and hops on the gsxr for the wheelies at the end. I would know, I am the camera man and the kawi is my bike, and the gsxrr 600 was my friends.

  • look again, he rode the zx10r for 90% of the video. and the gixxer's damper isn't visible

  • Yes there is, it's just in dirtbikes, not supersports.

  • What sorta revs are you at when you dip the clutch mate? Tried and tried on my k2 but only the odd powet wheelie.

  • thats why we dont buy used street bikes lol

  • Yes except for the two standing.

  • stock I would have to say no way in hell. 1st and second third is where I would really start doubting the odds.

  • unless your talking about with a huge bounce

  • how exactly do u do it

  • man what a waste of footage i wouldnt want anyone to see this. dont kill yourself ( check out my vids to get a idea of what to do.-- it will help you out)

  • Check your vids out? I think you should check my videos out.

  • i know i did and it made me horny!!! haha im messing with u -- dont hurt yourself - takes some practice -- got to learn to clutch it up my 600 has no balls that why i got it geared

  • I don't know how much this guy rides any more or if he even tries to wheelie now. The video isn't of me, I am just usually the one running a camera.

  • cool stuff

  • what gear was that

  • First I think.

  • if i lived in a place like that stuff trying to get the front end up id go for top speed look how straight that road is nice job though this is what i want to get when im older unfortunatley i have to wait a while haha any advice on what bike i shoulg get before my beloved gixxer cheers and thanks if you reply

  • poor bike..

  • i'v tryd alot of things and i still cant pop the frount up

  • depends on what bike you have, but if you have a powerful bike, one problem that was happening with me was i wasn't actually give it enought throttle. for example whilst the clutch is pulled it doesn't require much throttle, to get it up to red line, but when you drop the clutch there isn't enough to actually pull it up. so try when clutching, really pull back throttle so that lots of power pulls the front up. *but be careful* hold that throttle down to long and you will be sliding on you ass

  • hi there . i just got myself a k9 gsxr600..wna learn how to wheelie..wat gear wer u in an wat speed wer u doin..cheers

  • If its your first bike, which I am guessing is so. Don't try them yet, get more experience with the bike first.

  • if he stopped putting his weight over the front of the bike!! I first learnt to power wheelie, but just this week learnt to clutch, i can get it up but just cant keep it up, everyone says use the rear brake but just cant get the hang of it

  • Yeah, that was his first day trying. He couldn't get it up at all till I gave him a little instruction. Fighting the urge to lean forward is up to the rider though. The best way to learn rear brake is use it even when you don't need it. Right when you are bringing it up press the rear brake and get used to how much brake you need. This will build up muscle memory and that one time you make a mistake you will be glad you had it.

  • when you clutch it up what rpms are you at?

  • When people tell you what rpm to clutch it at is in my opinion stupid. You need to get used to just the feel and sound of how much you need to give it. Just start slow and never very much gas, and slowly just start giving it more and more.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah. this is true. i find that getting out there and trying it for yourself is the only way to really get the hang of it. for example people kept on telling me to clutch at about 7, but i like to clutch it around 5 (personal preference. as the bike has the right amount of throttle response and torque for me to 'get it up safely' lol).

  • yehh ur right ther, u cant be pullin the front up and also lookin at the rev gauge, what if ther something in frot of, bamm dead, lol

i always use my hearing to do wheelies,

  • the guy to your right is scared.

  • Good video :). I'm learning clutch-ups at the moment on my '99 CBR600 and I've just about got myself past the stage of fright when it comes up lol. It's slowly coming to me, I've only had it up for about 4 seconds and most but I'm quite pleased with my progress. Please feel free to check out my videos. I'm going to do a wheelie practice video soon. Cheers

  • i like your 2008 zx10r

  • Thanks, check out my other videos to see footage of it in work.

  • how are you getting your front up? i cant get the front end on my 04' r6 up... its pissin me off. are you guys dropping the clutch at speed? or just rolling onto the throttle

  • It's always hard for me to type out how I do it. But I adjust the clutch so I can pull it in with 1 finger and when the lever touches my other fingers on the grip it desingauges. Its a slip and very fast and smooth motion. The slip if done like mine should only take 1 second or less. While pulling the clutch in start rolling back on the throttle and then let the clutch back out while still rolling on the throttle. All that should take is 1 second. Watch my other videos for when I'm riding.

  • what happened to your other youtube account. I wonder if your the same person as plsbh?

  • Yes sir, deleted the other one cause someone in the video was in a little bit of trouble and I didn't want the video to somehow come back to him.

  • Well then it's good to see you back. I missed your videos!

  • what gear are u in? man. id be hella happy to just even pop it up. haha. nice vid.

  • Hes in first trying the sit downs, and second with the standups.

  • leather

  • I strongly enforce the thought of always wearing as much gear as possible. The camera man has full gear on. The rider did have a back protector as well though.

  • good for you, we need more riders like you

  • dude with the camera is a fuckin goon!

  • huh?

  • why does everybody bitch about gear? it's the rider's decision to wear or not to wear...you don't watch a burnout movie and comment that the driver's not wearing a seatbelt do you?

  • shocker.........a GSXR rider learnin wheelies with minimal gear on

  • he still needs to find the balance point. once you get hang off the power wheelies you can try popping the clutch. much more fun:)

  • He does clutch it.

  • nope. first of all he comes up to wild en you hear the rpms rise very quickly it is a power wheelie with a little bit of clutch but hes not popping it. when you pop the clutch your wheelie is much more controlled. just look how the motogp riders wheelie when they come at the finish line.

  • "blah blah blah"

thats called slipping the clutch. Def not a wheelie on POWER alone, homeboy.

Dude needs to stop tucking and sit upright. He's throwing his weight back on the font of the bike

  • blah blah blah learn to read i said it was a power wheelie with pulling the clutch. and that is slipping the clutch but it is not popping the clutch. i have ridden bikes for the first time when i was 14 and i have even ridden the red bull rookies cup for a season and a half when i was 15. so i have learnt from the best and if you want i have a complete wheelie manual for you right here.

  • wheelie manual? LOL :D

Look around for cops and other cars and stuff u could hit- Try it- If you didnt crash repeat.

    Theres your wheelie manual

  • lol you don't know a wheelie manual exists? xd. they even give wheelie lessons at stunt driving schools idiot. next time think before you type.

  • Patrick, your a squid man. Sorry but I have to block you cause you have no idea what you are talking about and I don't want false info going out.

  • Thats an incorrect statement. Two different power wheelie styles. Smooth throttle that brings it up slowly, or the chop that brings it up more violently. But then with clutching once you become more skilled its much more pridictable. Hes clutching it but hes learning.

I was teaching him to use the same method I do, and that's using 1 finger with a very fast slip.

Also- I'm not sure if you typed your statement correctly, because when slipping the clutch the rpms should rise quickly.

  • My reply was your first statement. Didn't see the new post. He is clutching it then chasing it. Obviously because it is not at bp off the initial slip.

Also by saying popping the clutch do you mean dropping the clutch? If so the proper way at least the preferred way is the quick slip.

  • hes using a power wheelie with a little clutch thats what im saying all the time. when doing that the rmps rise very quick but it is not as predictable as popping the clutch. and if you look closely i never said that hes not using any clutch at all, but you are right when learning the 1 finger method is the best way to go but u should be carefull if you give to much throttle or pull the clutch a little to much u can flip over. i see he is carefull and doesn't pull it to hard or fast he'l make it

  • keep practicing

  • nice one m8 4*
