Tommy Bolin was the worst choice to replace Ritchie. I saw that tour and that 2 bit heroin addict couldn't do the Highway Star solo, so Lord had to take it over.
Your'e copy has the same silver dot at 12.49 near Bolin's head . Wasn't sure if it was just my copy or not. These small blemish must be thing's in the original print. Watched this today , looked great on the big tv & sounded ok . Not as bad as i expected , there are a lot of mk4 live bootleg's around & they all sound very good.
I must say that the studio album Come Taste the Band is realy nice to hear, but when I watched this MkIV playing live it's clear that it misses a true Guitar player... Tommy Bolin is good, but not for Purple standards...
Where are the guitar solos?
Thank god that John Lord and Paice were holding the "rock vein" of the band by themselves.
Live at Budokan!!!!!!

Nice to see some mk IV. I've mostly only been a follower of the MkII era, and rainbow.
Bolin walks like a penguin, it's amusing. Nice stuff.
