What's the difference between a rugby tackle and a regular tackle? In rugby you have to wrap your arms around the person or at least attempt to while making your tackle.. in football you can just shoulder charge.

Other positions you want to get back up as quickly as you can to get back in the play before it stops. Rugby play rarely stops , even if someone has a bone poppin out their leg , they just drag themselves off the field..

@JonO387 This is a Rugby tackle for the reason in rugby you pick the guy up behind the legs just above the back of the knee pick him up ,and drop him on his back and dig your shoulder into his ribs. In football you are taught to run threw the guys and to try and keep going so you can still help block the players. So the difference would be in rugby you sacrifice yourself to demolish the other player instantly.In football you have to be able to block constantly because you rarely run straight.

Other positions you want to get back up as quickly as you can to get back in the play before it stops. Rugby play rarely stops , even if someone has a bone poppin out their leg , they just drag themselves off the field..

@JonO387 Well if you watch football you'll notice they tackle with their head and usually don't wrap up on the tackle. A "proper" rugby tackle means you put your shoulder in their gut while wrapping your arms around their legs. Football is just a hit and they fall and in rugby you're required to wrap your arms around them. If you did what a football player does in rugby you'd be paralyzed.

If only 2% of car owners owned a pinto, but they accounted for 60% of traffic injuries/fatalities, how long do you think it would be before that car was declared dangerous? Whether someone is more likely to be killed by lightning or a pinto would be irrelevant to the argument.

I don't really care about superiority among countries to be honest, there are some things European countries can never compete with America on, purely based on the size of it's population. If Switzerland was the size of America, it would make the US look like a third world Economy.
