  • did anyone else smile when he said "head..."

  • Damn i forgot all about this one such a simple variation yet i forgot about it. Thanks so much for reminding me. Now the list i complete for my complete trap workout. Thank you sir much respect

  • Before making any negative comments, it's best to educate yourself. Remember, that there are not absolutes. There are more than one way to do things. Yes the upper, and lower traps run in different directions. Just as the deltoids can be isolated in Anterior, Medial, and Posterior components. Also, think about how performing eccentric exercises "the negatives" also stimulate muscle.

  • dame thanks

ive been looking how to buuld my traps.

but is there another way using dumbells?

  • @julian671 hold two heavy dumbells at your sides. then raise your shoulders up and try to touch your ears with them while keeping your arms straight throughout the motion. dumbell shrug. It's probably the best exercise for building mass on the traps.

  • @julian671 Aswell as the dumbell shrug which I think is the best personally, its worth having a go at this exercise. Stand straight, dumbells by your sides, then raise your arms up making a "T" like stance. Hold for 2 seconds and slowly put the dumbells to rest at your sides, and repeat.

  • this guy in the video is a FUCKING RETARDDDD..this shit work the total opposite of ur traps....fukin dumassss...doing the total opposite exersice will work ur traps..........this is like sayin bench for back and pullups for chest..........wat a fukin retard guy this is

  • you work other trapfibers ;)

"different pattern of motion stimulates them" - lcblg55 (8 months ago)

and by the way,, you DO work a little back with benchpress:) not much do

  • no man this exercise puts ur traps in total rest

  • well.. maybe you're right :P:P I tried it and this exercise actually works your back and chest, at least that's what I feld;)

but maybe you DO use your traps but only the lower fibers in stead of the traps you see in your neck;)

but apart from that,, I think this exercise sucks dick:P

  • never thought of that...thx!

  • he makes it look easy!

  • just do shrags ffs

  • wasted my 1 minute :-|

  • dope

  • do em just like he says and you'll feel it in your traps

  • wich muscles du u use more than the trapezius?

  • that doesn't look like it would be good for your elbows

  • Awesome dude. I've been getting into dips lately and this has added another variation to target another part of my body I want to hit.

    Thanks alot. :-)

  • I think scooby's right. That's targeting the lats rather than the traps.

  • Wrong your using mainly your traps

  • elbow lol

  • best thing for your elbow budddd

  • great tip, thanks!

  • hey guys gimme a hand here, im really not sure. but this exercise seems to be doing the opposite of a traditional "shrug"? which is the staple traps exercise. am i missin summat and being a bit thick here? cheers for any thoughts.

  • The fibers of the lower traps run in a different direction from the fibers in the upper traps thus a different pattern of motion stimulates them

  • doesn't this exercise, ask allot of your elbow joints?

  • Great exercise! Thanks :-)

  • thats a great exercise

  • thats awesome, never thought of it either

  • wow ive never thoug of this it should work
