close to what used, had everyone's loyalty up, and used Garrus for fire and Distraction team, Kasumi was my tech, Mordin was the escort and jack for the biotic field,

first time i did it Zaeed bit it as distraction team lead, Mordin just died in the hold off fight.

kind of cool that even with loyalty up you can still get people kill with bad choices, heh

use garrus for both the fire team and the distraction team then use tali for tech expert use jacob to escort the survivors and use either samara or jack for the biotic field if you want everyone to survive must have all loyalty and have them all leveled up and make damn sure not to let zaeed or grunt lead anything

i thought Zaeed would have been fitted for the distraction team with him being the former blue suns leader.

Kasumi - heat shaft = lived

Garrus - 2nd team = lived

Zaeed - distraction team = died (obivausly)

Jack - Biotic = Lived

Grunt - Escort = lived

Miranda & Garrus - Finale = Miranda Died

Result - Mordin, Tali and Jacob all died

2nd time I did it everyone lived but Mordin (racist on salarins)

3rd time everyone lived :)

@Dalvanara It isn't always obvious. Easy to get fooled with Zaeed - you need to pay close attention to his dialogue or pull off the Paragon persuade on his loyalty mission to figure out that he's too selfish to be a good leader, cause he sure as hell hasn't figured it out.

Likewise, Miranda's constant talk about being 'engineered' fools some people about her biotic potential.

Leave Zaeed for the final fight holding the door. He has the highest defense. He'll keep everyone but Mordin who must be the Salarian equivalent of a hemophiliac considering how fragile he is.

On another note, Zaeed has more dialog then most of the other companions in the game. He also comments way more during missions. I started using him in my second playthrough and haven't looked back. I'M WAXING GODDAMN NOSTALGIA!

He is one of the few "tanks" for the "hold the line" part of the final mission, he is also extremely important for his inferno grenade, Zaeed and Samara is the best team set up for Reaper Larvae on Insanity difficulty, max both his grenade and her reave and that armor goes down like a fucking rock.

@lgvereor speaking of the reaper larva, there is actually a far better way, saves a shitstorm of time, get the M920 caim, aka the 'nuke launcher' make sure you have at least 100% ammo before the reaper boss, take aim shoot & the fucker looses like 98% of it's armor from the word go providing you hit the bastard, I missed a few times when he ducked down so I had to reload the last autosave & try again.

@Ahidi01 On Insanity it does very little damage to it, and it's very clunky and slow, as you said reloads will be needed, and that's inefficient. The best heavy for that fight and the reaper core is lightning gun, fries armor, can hold massive ammo in terms of heavy's, and is quick and accurate.

Grunt is a bad choice. He's the perfect krogan, I grant you, but he has absolutely no leadership qualities. He fights all his battles under a Battlemaster, and he has the mentality of an adolescent. He's excellent as a warrior, but not someone you'd want to put in charge of anything.

Grunt will die if you pick him as the second fire team leader.

@MartialArtsMaster I used Garrus as fireteam leader, in my playthrough. Besides being a good choice spec-wise, I felt like it was a chance for him to redeem himself in his own mind by leading a new team to success after the deaths of his team on Omega. Showed I still had faith in him.
