Theyve said before in interviews that they were influenced by Blink. Ive seen Blink live and am seeing these guys Saturday. Blink didnt give the best live performance, probably because now that theyre older their voices have changed quite a bit.

All pop-punk bands have a similar sound. Relient K uses a piano in almost all their songs. Blink hardly ever uses one.

yea, i saw that mxpx was one of their influences as well. but the first RK album i heard was mmhmm, and i was like "wtf?" that doesnt sound anything like mxpx, but if you listen to their first and second albums, you can definitely hear it. :)

Who says that 100% of their songs need to be about worship for them to be a Christian band? They sing some songs about relationships with other people, but the majority of their songs have an underlying theme of their love for Jesus. They have lots of songs that are straight up praising Him as well. Buy all their albums, and listen to the lyrics for every song. At least half of each album is about their faith.

I feel like all songs don't necessarily have to be worship songs for the band to be considered Christian. This song in particular doesn't specifically mention Jesus, but it has a positive message that reflects the type of life that God wants us to have--joyous and thankful in all aspects, no matter what happens. I don't think they can be discounted as a Christian band for that, but it is important for each song to be perfectly in line with what the Bible says.
