@TouchingEvilFan He was on painkillers, he had an accident before going to Comic Con, he crashed his motor-bike going 55 miles per hour and had to go to the hospital. So if he was all distracted and looking around, probably the medications' made him a little tired and loopy.

I don't think Lucifer got cast out cause he didn't have emotions. I thought it was because he wouldn't bow down to human beings.

And the show has always taken a story or a myth and put it's own twist on it. This is just another example of it.

I think they turn things around from the books because it's Kripke's and the writers' creative licence to interpret mythologies and theological history into their view of the Supernatural story. If you want a play by play of Revelations, pick up the bible.

And why wouldn't you update the Four Horsemen? As a mythology the colour of the horse (or their ride of the time) was representative of a theme of conquest, famine, war and death. That's the important part to keep consistent.
