@facuags I'm not so sure about that...it depends on whether or not you get the time stones. If you get the time stones, after the credits, you'll see a picture the plant as sparkles gleam down and flowers appear.... If you DON'T, you see the planet normally, but then the Death Egg appears where it was before because Robotnik got the time stones and summoned it back. :)
Sonic is like Michael Jackson. Michael was really cool untill he tried to become white and had thousands of surgeries. Sonic was really cool untill he was remade into 3D. People thought Michael was weird but still liked his music, and now he is dead. People thought sonic was going downhill, his games got shitty, and now he is "dead". They will both be remembered for their old selves when they were memorable.
SONIC WILL NEVER DIE!!! So long as there are people out there like me, he shall live on forever, he only dies if you give up hope. Have you given up hope?
the good ending doesnt show dr robotnik at the end and it shows the planet going back to its normal place after firework looking thinks appear in the shape of sonics head
@Glumglufs: when he means "real" he means the American version, not the original Japanese. half the stuff from Japan back in the early to mid 90s was heavily localized when they came to the US
I know, but the original version is the Japanese, so I just get the impression that the uploader is either very ignorant, or just doesn't care about all the people who played this game with the JP/EU soundtrack.
Wow,then no more SEGA,SAMMY and Sonic...That's my feeling.Anyway what hurts me most from that thing was that Sega was planning a Dreamcast relaunch, for the 9/9/2009,but THIS thing...will fuck up that good plan.
Sonic boom Sonic boom Sonic boom. now these days sonic just a disapointment you to mario well not really i kinda like mario sunshine and i love the mario party games any way sonic will live on as long as million of fans like still exist
I love this game! I recently got a chance 2 try the Japanese version. The music's not awful, as some have complained. Just different. Still good nonetheless. Now the criticism: WTF? Where's the final piece!? If this is supposed to be the "bad" ending, then why wasn't the clip where the "Little Planet" re-materializes included?
If you would be willing to put up with nearly everything being based on samples like the past zones are, it could be done. But it wouldn't sound as good, and would probably take a while to program.
You get the good ending when you make a good future in each zone by killing the transporter in each act of each zone in the past. You can also get the good ending by getting all the time stones. If you get a bad ending then you didn't really accomplish anything and Robotnik's planet thingy re-manifests itself in the last scene of the bad ending.
Whoa. I totally forgot the ending was REALLY slow in the Sega CD version also. I thought the ending was slow in Sonic Gems Collection only, but it's slow here too.
I agree. Everyone's entitled to his or her opinion, but I think people really overreact to the soundtrack change done in the US version. They're both great soundtracks, but I do think the US one better suits the game.
In general I agree. However, I think that the GF song in Metallic Madness as well as Collision Chaos in general were a bit too mournful for my tastes.
and in my opinion most jap versions were better because each has a fit in the game like palmtree panic either was too dull in bf in us or was too mournful in gf or how the evil in metallic madness was better for the persons oppinion*us pres was evil gf was mournful bf was eviler jap present cool evil past less evil but still cool gf happy and bf demolition of the world*
Which, in my opinion, suited the game better than the upbeat melodies of the Japanese version, except that the Stardust Speedway Good future JP version is the best song of both versions!
Surprising myself, I really like this song better than the Japanese version, especially in the opening. It just fitted Sonic better to me. Here it's a little too slow to fit the pace of the film, but in the opening it's great.
This is the modified ending with Spencer Nilsen doing the music. Though I do think it may be catcher tha the original Cosmic Eternity theme. The other main difference is that in the US release, they shrunk the ending animation to make room for credits.
So, The bad ending is better because little planet doesnt blow up.

The japanese/european soundtrack is more interesting overall and offers more variety. It also tends to be faster, which adds to the atmosphere imo.

Are you kidding? Sonic CD (the American version) has the BEST soundtrack I've ever heard on a video game!!! If the Jap version is better, OMG!

That probably wouldn't work very well since all that CD Audio can't be fit on one disc.
May as well try to find something that will convert a J or US ROM to the other country and try burning that onto a CD.
