ITS NOT BRICKED, if the psp is bricked then what happened to @god7isgood is what will happen, if the green light comes on, then turns off (no screen or anything) then its bricked, this is a totally different issue... I'm having this same exact issue, I was told by someone who works at a local game store that it has to do with the board that the power switch is part of, it could either be the switch isn't hitting a "sensor" or cables might be loose...

@AoiMitsuko Yeah it is still a brick problem.i had it and my pandora battery fixed it. sometimes, thought, the buton wears out and you may have to try it like 15 times. it isn't the motherboard, just the button. if i seemed hostile in my previous comment i apologize, and i was just trying to help. i was kinda pissed off my psp had a wierd problem and i was angry (wtf why do these things keep breaking!)if you need any help with you psp feel free to message me i would be glad to help.

Nothing seems fried, the fuse is fine (or the orange light wouldn't even be working), also what that guy at gamecrazy said, as you stated below in ur 1st reply, was totally wrong cause that little switch works just fine and it was catching, that's totally NOT the problem. First off, its NOT a brick, even on a successfully modded psp 1001 (CFW 5.50 GEN D3) This is happening to me. It may be a short in the ribbon cable that connects the Power PCB to the Motherboard, but I haven't tried replacing it yet. I have gotten it to power on a few times, but upon any small agitation (like setting it down or pushing "O" hard) it shuts off. Green light just flashes. I am working on it will post if I get a solution.

I have a psp 1003 and its been about a year since i played it but now when i turned it on iy wouldnt turn on so charged i came back 5 mins later and turn it on the green light cones on for 2 seconds then goes back to the orange light i havent tried hacking or hacked my psp pllllz someone help
this is the solution if you can open your psp with the external power. all i do is take out the battery and put it in the freezer for 10 mins. REMEMBER PUT THE BATTERY IN ZIPLOC .after you take it out of the freezer put it in your psp and plug the charger. at this moment you will not see the orange light ...but still it is charging..let it sit for 20 mins. then unplug .and then open your psp using the battery and then that's it
I have the same problem except when I turn mine on without the AC the green light comes on for about two seconds then it gives up. I've heard the adapter could be the problem, but this just really pisses me off! Wish I could help man
@THEAZBLINK Unfortunately I couldn't find a practical solution to this and because I have an old fat psp as well the warranty is DONE. Now I have to pay $100, send mine in and get either a repaired or new one from Sony. They don't make shit to last anymore. But good luck dude hope you don't have to do the same thing as me

I have a psp 1003 and its been about a year since i played it but now when i turned it on iy wouldnt turn on so charged i came back 5 mins later and turn it on the green light cones on for 2 seconds then goes back to the orange light i havent tried hacking or hacked my psp pllllz someone help

I saw this on another video:
this is the solution if you can open your psp with the external power. all i do is take out the battery and put it in the freezer for 10 mins. REMEMBER PUT THE BATTERY IN ZIPLOC .after you take it out of the freezer put it in your psp and plug the charger. at this moment you will not see the orange light ...but still it is charging..let it sit for 20 mins. then unplug .and then open your psp using the battery and then that's it

I have the same problem except when I turn mine on without the AC the green light comes on for about two seconds then it gives up. I've heard the adapter could be the problem, but this just really pisses me off! Wish I could help man

@THEAZBLINK Unfortunately I couldn't find a practical solution to this and because I have an old fat psp as well the warranty is DONE. Now I have to pay $100, send mine in and get either a repaired or new one from Sony. They don't make shit to last anymore. But good luck dude hope you don't have to do the same thing as me

I have the same problem just only that i can turn on my PSP when it charges yet with only the battery it doesnt turn on if i turn it on with the charger and plug it out at the XMB the battery lives for 1-2 seconds and dies then wont turn on

when he plugs it in the second time,it charges for a moment but then closes because the battery is fully charged so there is no problem with the battery the problem is in the psp
