  • @BrothT3 It sure is thanks for dropping by.

  • Good rendition of a classic ... great sound!!

  • Good sound! Your guuitar sounds great! What brand and string guage do you use? I have the same kind of guitar telecaster.

  • @JoeyMars1 Thanks very much, I always use Elixar 9's on my Tele's. Elixar's cost twice as much as other but I guarantee, they always sound great, don't rust and last 3 times as long as any others.

  • @bucknorrismusic Thanks I'll try them!

  • Pretty good. You might want to try it with someone singing harmony with you, it'll draw out your richer tones, I think. You've got a good voice.

  • I loved this so much!!!! Wow!!!!

  • Thanks very much it is a great song.

  • once again, thanks Buck

  • Thanks very much.

  • Hey Buck, How's things. I admire you guys who have 100 things going at the same time. Rhythm Machine, Mike levels and monitors. Can only sing and play guitar. Have to have the lyrics taped under the cam. One constructive statement. Next video, have a light, Maybe a shop light twards the wall behind you to wash out the shadow. Maybe have a friend be sort of a stand in to get the lighting right. Everything else sounds great.

  • Thanks very much I will send you a newer video, this one was a year ago, things have come a long way sing then.

  • That is a country voice !

  • Thanks very much.

  • he has the same guitar i do

  • JD was unbeatable.........

I grew up with his music,,,, saw him live once in UK concert...

Liked your version.... guitar sounds nice too

    Leo

  • He was, great writer and singer and person too bad he left us so early.

  • Hi Buck Norris. My name's Bill. I like your rendition of this fun-to-sing John Denver song. And thanks for the bio of John. I also love to sing this song and had some fun harmonizing with myself. Check it out. I just posted it.

  • Love this song, don't blame ya for changin' key, this song in it's original key, A, I cannot do it unless I'm singin baritone.

  • John Denver had much more vocal range than I do for sure.

  • Yeah, me too, I have more of a Johnny Cash vocal range, I'm just grateful I can't sound like Bobby Osbourne of the osbourne brothers, ever hear them do Ruby ar you mad?

  • Yeah, could go there either.

  • I'm also a baritone, I sing it in A. I thought it was originally done with a capo at the second fret? I might have a bad version of the song. Anyway I just moved most of it an octave lower to suit my lame voice range and it sounds fine.

  • I''ve rarely seen John play with a capo.

  • I swear I saw a video of it, I'll have to find it and post back.

  • You mean on country roads? He never played that with a capo [that I saw] on other songs, yes.

  • I also do this song in a lower key than John Did. I love the relaxed smooth country styling you have given this song. It was a joy to listen to.

  • Thanks very much will have to check it out.

  • Very nice Buck, I enjoyed it! ... FrAnK (5*****)

  • Thanks very much Frank.

  • great great great!!

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! :)

  • Hmmmm Buck..Nice and mellow..Love this song.

  • Always a real popular one this isn 't it? Goos one.

    Carol x

  • Yes it is, thank you very much Carol.

  • always reminds me of driving through the Blue Ridge Mtns. going on family trips to SC. we used to have John Denver's Greatest Hits on an 8 track and probably wore it right out! great job Buck!

  • 8 Track? Man your dating yourself. LOL

  • Wonderful job Buck!

    G+A

  • Thanks my friends, hope all is well with you guys.

  • Say

    Buck...

As you already know,I firmly believe,in my heart of hearts, that nobody could ever go wrong by performing any number of John's songs...and here you have proven me correct with your heart-felt rendition of this bonifide golden nugget.

    Peace,

    Stewball

  • Thanks Stewball. I bet you have ridden that bike through some of those country roads.

  • Hey Buck, this is another one of your very best. You certainy did one heck of a fine job on this, one of my favorite, songs. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR GREAT TALENT, C.W.

  • Thanks C. W. my friend my pleasure.

  • Hey...that looks exactly like a Larrycaster!!! On second thought...a Larrycaster has a toroise pick guard and gold hardware. I have another one in the works too...it will have NO pickguard because it has a beautiful quilted maple top! :D Don't wanna cover it up with a piece of plastic. ;) I lived in Denver when Rocky Mountain High came out...we got sick of John Denver really quick over that one...LOL. But you did a good job on this un. :D LC

  • Hi Larry. This on is a bargain basement Mexican Tele. What a steal.

  • True to the song.

    Enjoyed it

    Lloyd.

  • Thanks very much Lloyd.

  • 5* on sunday afternoon in Switzerland!

  • Thanks very much my friend.

  • One of Denver's best and you did it up fine, Buck!!! *****. Thanks for all.

  • Thanks Marcus.

  • This is a great one Buck

I noticed I was the 17th person to view and yet only the second to rate. Wonder why people don't rate em when they watch em Oh Well that might be a little to deep thinking for 7:00 on a Sunday Morn Take care buck talk to you soon Tahnks Gprd

  • Hi Gord thanks and I often wonder too. I rate everyone one I view while I watch them and rate. But that doesn't really matter I rarely pay attention to rating. I'm not into YouTube for that. I have over 200 subscribers here and vary rarely does everyone view. But oh well. I have my great friends like you and Jody and You so little else matters. Have a great one.

  • Are you a John Denver fan Buck? Just love his songs. What a great job you`ve done on this one!

Hope you`re well fear friend. Warm hugs and great big stars..Jan and Susan.x

  • I am a John Denver fan, not a huge one but love a lot of his songs. I was kind of tuned out of music during his big popular run.

  • One of the all-time classic country

    Songs the reached the masses

  • Mornin' Boss .. One of my Favorite Songs.

    GREAT JOB.

    David

  • Thanks David, it is a great poetic song. What's you thoughts on Dallas/TB today?
