i disagree with Adelman. The country is being ruled by criminals who are willing to do anything to stay in power in the name of god. They have exiled, imprisoned and killed many of their own (Ayatollah Montazery, Yazdi, Ghotb zadeh, etc). You don't fight a bunch of criminals to evict them out of your home, you get the sheriff involved. People of Iran need to ask for help from the US and Israel since "Allah o Akbar" never helped them.

The professor is right. Only in the eyes of BBC, it's just a "protest", even though people in Iran have been waving flags without the Allah sign & are saying no to the entire clerical system. According to the propagandists at BBC, the Iranian people don't want another revolution. BBC has never, even once, covered a single large-scale anti-regime demonstration in Iran, before the 2009 fraud election. It never covered this year's massive 18 Tir demos either. In Iran we call BBC "Ayatollah BBC".

There is no way of getting evidence in a dictatorship. Why won't Iran have non-governmental monitors during its voting like any other democratic society? Because it is a dictatorship under the velayate faqih. The fact that it is a dictatorship is enough proof, and people are not only demonstrating against elections, but people want a true democracy, not a puppet show under khamanei.
