It's a name. The middle sister (brunette) is called 'Kana' (夏奈). Literally and individually translating the kanji, they stand for 'summer' (ka) and 'Nara' (yielding na), as in the city.

On second thought, my transliteration was wrong.

The translation of the kanji may be correct, but it doesn't matter what pronunciation they originally had, because first names in Japan do not always follow logic.

They have books of 'official new names' (new ways to read specific combinations of kanji) each year, to keep up with all the new names.

So, let's just call her Kana, use the kanji for summer and nara and be happy ;P
