  • Eventhough this video talks about the importance of Amateur Radio communication, India the process to get a license is too cumbersome. The HAM clubs in various metros do scout for interested people, coach them and encourage them to appear for the test. What happens after that ??

There is the police verification which may or may not happen. Then there is the licensing authority who would not give a genuine status update. You may get a license after 2-3 years, if you have patience and interest.

Personal experience sir. The wait is still on, even after I cleared the exam way back in 2009.

  • Hello, just thought you should know that the audio on this footage becomes corrupt....somewhere past the halfway point. You may need to try uploading this one again. It's a good story that needs to be heard. Thanks for posting it.

  • When all else fails... Amateur Radio! from far away to right next door there is probably a radio operator ready to "go' into action should an emergency arise.

Amateur Radio is a great hobby and a rewarding one when you can help others!

FInd your local club and become a "Ham"
