i love what you done to it LOOKS GREAT. . . i recently bought a 91 xr2 & have found a hardtop , full body kit, kaminari top, & would love to know where you got those great mirrors,roll bar, & step plates . . . . .THANKS

@drxfluffy The mirrors are universal styling mirrors from a tuning shop. The rollbar en step plates are self made.

just found the clear markers and seen the vid on the roll bars asked before i'd read the whole chain sorry about that . . . .what tuning shop? and can i order on-line really like those mirrors fixing to redo my car gathering up all the parts

@drxfluffy The mirrors are called: "hyper style mirrors" They are universal mirrors and they have special adapters for it to fit them on any car. For the Capri are no adapters so I tried every adapter in the shop and found one that fitted perfectly without any modification. I can't remember wich type it was. I thought they were made for Renault or Mazda but I'm not sure.. Good luck

You showed me that all mercury capris need a lowering kit. I hate how the nose is all up in the air. Where did you get the springs and shocks, i noticed only ones avaialable are on ebay.

ive got one myself and i LOVE it!! shitty part of it is that you almost have to make every part yourself as its hard to come by aftermarket parts for this car. mine is yellow and its a BLAST to drive. best part of it is that they only made a handfull of them (not like the civic and integra)... its a rare car and its awesome

Man, I've got a model exactly like this! Idk why, but it wont start at the moment. Motor is clean and everything, it's not getting enough fuel. can't wait to get the fuel economy with that car!

Maybe your fuel pump is broken or have some dirt in fuel lines?

@americarz Well, I replaced the fuel pump..it's just not getting enough voltage to the pump.

If the pump runs and generates normal pressure to the engine, but the engine still does not start, the problem may be:

1. No voltage to the fuel injectors (blown injector fuse or bad relay)

2. No pulse signal to the injectors from the PCM (no crank or cam sensor input to the PCM, or a bad driver circuit in the PCM, or a wiring harness problem)

3. A shorted fuel injector (robs voltage from the other injectors so none will operate)

@americarz Yeah, I'm hopefully going to get working on it sometime this week. I've had it for years, it ran when I got it, and I just let it sit, and it just won't start now. Not real sure, but I'll figure it out here soon..that's for sure.

So what would it take to have u make me one of those rollbars or at least get a detailed plan on how to make one on my own of course i would pay for either. maybe post a you - tube video on how to make the brackets and rollbar would great. at least where i could get that tube and pattern for the brackets.............

What you can do is to buy a Mazda MX5 Miata rollbar. The dimensions are exactly the same. There are different models available, round ones or other styles. The only thing you have to do is modifying the brackets. This is easy to do, or ask someone who can weld stainless steel. I'll try to find some pictures of my rollbar and make a Youtube video but since the car is sold I can't take pictures of it :(

I made them by myself from stainless steel, welded it and polished it, just like the exhaust pipes.

They are just universal tuning mirrors.

You can find them in any autoshop.

But you need to find the right adapters to make them fit, there are no adapters for the Mercury Capri so I tried about 30 different ones and finally found some that fits very good. I forgot wich one it was, I thought they were made for Renault or Mazda but I'm not sure..
