  • Listening to this all I can say is WOW...This girl was blessed

  • the voice commands attention, stopping one in their tracks. What that voice could do, oh what it could do. Such a rare gem. How lucky were we to be born during her lifetime? To experience this gift, even if for a little while. Thank you Dear Angel...for making my world a little bit better, for giving me strength through your music. A rare gift indeed.

  • @Caseysmom2 Very true.Generations long after we are gone will still discover Amy Winehouse just as we look back at Elvis Ella or Etta people will one day in 50 and 100+ years and discover the amazing Amy Winehouse.

  • yes, sweetheart. it was alright.

  • Truly, but truly, my favorite Amy Winehouse soulful legacy of a performance - hands down.....so beautiful indeed, listen to her lirecs, so beautiful indeed - think about....my mind is in peaceful tranquility whenever I listen to her sing this song....for this alone, thank you God for giving us Amy - if only for a little while - but oh, what memories.....

  • amazing, absolute true talent.!!

  • She's British, not American.

  • @MrMarcelo1412 little fact, her mother was born in NY, USA

  • i did know amy was from brooklyn new york aha

  • Could you Change the Title _ Please!!! Like if you agree

  • @sweetJassie08 done xxx

  • @latestmusic08 Thanx :) Kuddos!!!!

  • somehow i think of a preacher, or a minstrel or troubadour, she heals us she talks to us, she is us.

old tradition, but hard to keep. only few are entitled through the centuries. we are really blessed hearing her chants.

in which ever altered state she had happened to be.

    for ever, she is.

  • It's just really nice to see her having such fun and revelling in her vocal ability.

She did a lot of crying too.

  • "Before drugs."? Forgive me, I feel that was in questionable taste.

  • This was her Zenith! Few Tatoos, no Beehive and deep into her god given talent. Soon it would be the beginning of the end of Amy.

  • This song is called Take the Box and personally I think it may be the best song on the album. When I first played it I couldn't stop replaying it.

I love Amy and I will forever be a fan. Before or after drugs. period.

  • Love it

  • That smile..

  • This song makes my bones vibrate. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • She still amazes me..

  • why is she gone? could NO-ONE keep her from ending her own life? She was not abused and had loving parents. I don't get the self-destruction?? Her dad blamed her husband - but perhaps some talented people are very fragile inside. Rest in peace talented girl........

  • there's nothing to understand, dude. Life happened to her, and just like it will do to us, it left her dead.

  • @poopieballz I must disagree with you, 'poopieballz'. When someone dies so YOUNG and before their time, it disturbs the harmony of the generations. "Life happened to her?". Too passive. She had every opportunity to stick around, yet chose to (or accidentally) leave this earth still in her twenties....as many of us know, that is a tumultous decade fraught with psychic insecurity which thankfully lessens with time. I'm sorry for her family. No parent should have to bury their child.

  • You have to remove "before drugs" its so disrespectful, besides she was probably already on drugs by then, if you listened to her songs at this time, you'd know.

  • This girl was really something just absolutely fantastic, and her cut Rehab was just a tip of her talents it was like a fun cut that happen to go big. I wish that I would have heard her years ago, and I feel it's because the jazz stations in my area didn't play her, so I wasn't exposed to her. Her music really moves you it's the kind of music that I was raised on. I Thank everyone for loading their videos of her concerts on youtube cause had she lived, I would have had to see her in concert!

  • Looking at her beautiful smile at the end of the song 3:34 makes me cry. She was truly a gift... to all of us.

  • Wow! No Matter How Many TImes I Hear Her Voice I Get So Amazed @ How Much Talent This Woman Haz!! Amy Winehouse Iz & Will Alwayz B 1 Of Tha Greatest Vocalist Of Our Time...She Will 4EVER B Missed By All Who Loved Her...R.I.P. Amy Jade Winehouse

  • Her smile says it all.

  • Man I am so sad! I the people who just realized how great she was are idiots!

  • mizz you amy

  • delete, before drugs!

  • @DeHeerJanRavestein i agree...delete it~theres no relivance here... lets just look at her for who she is without the shadow...

  • uniqueeee!! the best singer in all the entire world!!

    amy: we`ll love you forever!!

thanks for your powerfull and amazing voice!!

  • Eb off the staff at the end!

  • I have no words..... she was unique.

  • she looks stunning as well as sounding amazing.

  • What a great song. Can't stop listening to it.

  • watching x crying x crying x crying x

  • What can you say? Except feel the pain in this beautiful voice and wonder where it all went wrong and say a little prayer for dear AMY! Send her a bit of love! Oh yes ;)

  • Amazing voice, presence and maturity of presentation (WAY beyond her years) - and most importantly she communicates this with such uncompromising soul and vulnerability. What a talent! She is one of the few gifted artists out there who was able to bridge rock, pop, jazz, blues, R&B, soul, etc. There is no telling where she would have taken her talent - like Hendrix. Anyway, thank you Amy - your gift to all of us is immortal, and forever. Your musical vibrations will just keep on keepin' on!

  • nice singing (and band) but the song kind of meanders. page from her diary autobiographical lyrics. like what i did yesterday between breakfast and lunch. "i watched you take a shower you made me cry. had some wheetabix and they tasted kind of dry......."

  • 3:10..she is into signing this song. Checkout her facial expression.

  • This woman had enough soul to last her 10 lifetimes.

  • @Colpire7 true!!!!

  • Damn she was good!!!!

  • I see there must be 15 people who must have hit dislike when they were drunk or high. Amy was Phenomenal and unmatched by most sloppy wannabe singers today.

  • probably my favourite video on youtube right now

  • powerful

  • Amy you knocked it out of the park...AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG her voice is out of this world beautiful, I know she has a beautiful spirit, May her soul live on

  • Wonderful performance! Rest in peace dear sweet Amy. :(

  • @datsniggawater Its about darkness, her return to darkness after love ended.

  • @datsniggawater .... BLACK IS CRACK... HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACISM.... MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what is the name of this song?

  • @RetroSoulSista Yayyyyy! I found it . "Take the Box"

  • I sit here crying as I watch this amazing videio of this beautiful young womn with the incredible voice, and I am again heart broken at the loss for her family first and then the rest of the world.

  • Youtube should have a Love button!

  • Fantastic

  • thank you for the post...all I can say is "WOW" "WOW" "WOW" ...Amazing!!!!

  • Life after death? You bet your boots there is:

    you tube.com/user/Snowfirel?feature=mhee

  • This is also one of my very favorite performances of hers. Really such an amazing talent. Stunning really.

  • I Really miss Amy Winehouse, she was the real deal, no doubt about that, a real rebel, she got kicked out of school at 16 years old.

She was such a talented singer, and a breath of fresh air from the standard pop stars.

Loved her genuine smile, her shyness and her quirkiness.

  • amazing

  • what a voice!!!!!

  • It brings me tears if I see her so young healthy and brilliant ! I hate Drugs !!

  • wow, that's all i can say.. this leaves me breathless. it's incredible what she could do with that voice. she was amazing. i love you amy, rip.

  • Damn that woman had hella swagger....RIP Amy

  • BEAUTIFUL, GIFTED , LOVED, AMAZING ANGEL, THANKS FOR WHAT U LEFT US, UNIQUE VOICE FROM HEAVEN. XXXX

  • I love her unique talent and voice, what a fucking idiot she was to let it all go.

It's her fault, why do amazing people like her throw away something so amazing?

It is just sad. I was angry more than sad when I heard she died, because I thought in a world more and more populate by idiots, monotony, dimm people of no special value...this amazing person who is unique, this great woman just is gone.

One less great person, 100 more idiots will take her place. Sad.

  • @DementedScrew i'm sorry i just got angry at ur quote, she was brillant, but along the way got lost, do u really think she was fucking idiot to let it go, take a reall look at her life, she tried so hard to hold on to it, but wore her heart on her sleve an got pulled into other people's bad habits. She was shuch a people pleaser and never put herself ahead. A great loss sorely missed by me and millions of others. love u Amy always

  • MY GOD WHAT A GREAT TALENT LOST...R. I. P. PRECIOUS ANGEL

  • This was Amy @ her BEST!!!! It's sad that a person with so much talent was taken away before her time.... She will be truly miss :-(

  • F**KEN A LISTEN TO THAT FRESH VOICE.

  • she was music

  • Oh Yea !! You gotta be born with this! And she was just gettin' started. I can only imagine where she'd have taken this....

  • i have always loved her since i heard her first song ... threehundred views video....before the drug use became public....her death... it was bound to happen.... 27 years young.... hhh... but i mean its what she wanted.... her last interview:: "if i die tomorow, id be a happy girl"

  • Ive been in this music biz a long time&HATE,HATE when idiots make comments about an artist pre-post-drug use.drug use its a symptom.alot of ppl fight demons and use drugs to try&combat them.I know soooo many known&unknown artists drug use affects some and not others.Amy was so fuckin good and was working very hard to kick tht she deservees more than to leave a legacy of trashtalk by idiots like YOU who posted ths vid & added before/after use-fku

  • 15 people better remove the wax out of their ears

  • I can't think in other terms about this world then just a bunch of idiots, if they make that much a fuss about some rich girl good at singing death. Let's appreciate her music, yes, but let's not make a martyr out of her. There are so many people that die in poverty and nobody knows they've even been on this Earth, nobody cares. She was rich and she could get all the happiness in the world from helping others, making others happy. I am poor, but I don't complain like a b*tch because I'm not lovd

  • ...Excuse me while I go cry myself to sleep

  • What a Soulful human being!!!

  • I cry at such a loss. I agree she was the voice of her generation.

  • AMY you and your music are eternal . . . unforgettable . . . immortal . . . forever . . .

Thank you for your precious gift!

  • raw talent..blues/jazz fusion of awesome quality...POOR AMY..MISS YOU..RIP

  • no words for this. just raw talent wasted. rip

  • She shouldn't have gone so young. Such a loss to evreyone. Her family, friends and fans. May she now have peace though I hope. God bless you beautiful Amy xxx

  • Fresh and lovely and bright, obviously before she started taking drugs. An incredibly loss to her fans, a great natural talent. x

  • wowwwwwwwwwww let me cry, how is beautiful RiP AMY!

  • This is beautiful, she was such a talent..found out the other day that we have the same birthday,, RIP Amy

    What is this song called?

    Where is she performing?

  • @deirdrec1 Its called Take the Box from her album frank, I imagine she's performing somewhere in london

  • Jazzy lady indeed !!!

  • Al Jarreau would have loved her !

  • BEST AMY'S SONG!!!!!!!!

  • She is talented indeed, but let's stop being such idiots and stop crying for her, cause she was stupid. I can feel compassion for someone who is poor and suffers because of that, but aside from that if you do drugs when you have all that money and act like some sort of martyr, you're plain idiot. You can't be sorry for rich people that "suffer". If I'd be rich and complain about how tough life is for me and someone would tell me, my friend, you're an idiot, I would thank that guy for wakin me up

  • @sofoclebeat so you can't feel sorry for her because she was rich with a drug problem? What if she was poor with a drug problem... is it ok to feel sorry for her then?

It's called compassion. A woman died at the age of 27. Cause of death one would speculate a broken heart and bad habits. But do not judge unless you're ready to be judged; unless you have walked a mile in her shoes. Addiction does not care how much money you have.

  • @shesbrowsing Addiction is CREATED by us. When you are poor you have more excuses, because you don't have much time to think, being busy striving to survive, but when you are rich you have all the time in the world to THINK and if you don't do it, you kind of deserve what's coming. Drugs are a solution for those who don't like to THINK (all of them including cigarettes and alcohol). Broken heart ? Well if u see someone is not good for you, then offer your love to someone that deserves it.

  • @sofoclebeat I'm sick of all the post-mortem hype about singers(Michael Jackson is The King). F*ck that ! You know who The King is ? Jesus Christ, for sacrificing his life in order to be an example, Muhammad for being an unifier, Gautama Buddha, Socrates, Gandhi, etc. Pull your heads out and see the important things in life, see the real examples to follow. There were people who were poor and from their poverty gave priceless gifts to humanity. Let's not cry TOO MUCH for a rich girl

  • @sofoclebeat I don't care if you're rich or poor, black or white... drugs do not discriminate. In fact, it's probably worse being rich because they are easily accessible. You talk about having time to think... it's the poor without jobs that have time to think. You think Amy had time on her hands to think. She was too busy doing tours and being famous. Her life is an open book with paparazzi lurking everywhere she goes. You see things one way because that's all your know.

  • @shesbrowsing Last comment, because I'm wasting my breath and words on idiots. Those who are poor WORRY, which is not a very productive state of mind. Those like Amy, shouldn't have to worry if they'd know how to manage the money won. I'm sure that if she would have been wiser she could just put some money to have for the future and then just slow down the pace. You're completely non-responsive to reason. Drugs are not an entity, we are the ones putting them in between our neurons.

  • @sofoclebeat Shut up- you don't know what you're talking about so I suggest you kick rocks barefoot.

  • @sofoclebeat You sound so ignorant it's pathetic. Have you ever been rich? My guess would have to be NO. So until you're rich and have all the time in the world living carefree as you claim the rich do, STFU because you don't know squat!

  • rest in peace

  • I've always been a fan since I've known about her, but I never heard her hit her upper register like this before. Amazing!

  • She was so beautiful there. Her voice was so good too.

  • As with so many truly rare artists - Holiday, Lennon, Hendrix... the demons seem to come with the talent. Ms Winehouse was a stellar vocalist, and would have taken her place amongst the greats of R&B. If there is such a thing as an 'afterlife', I hope she has finally found peace.

  • BEST LIVE EVER!

  • @orricoballet

do you know what this song is called ?

  • @94brooks Put it in the box.

  • @tmarie0524

    thanx

    its awesome

  • I remember the first time i watched her on hootenanny in 2004 i was hooked since then! such a shame so many people are only realising her incredible talent now she is dead. I suppose better late than never RIP gorgeous girl :'(.

  • @mrjorgefernandez123 Yes, you are so right, but Amy does deserve such recognition. This performance sums up alot of what she gave, to everyone.. Dynamic vocals, true emotional performance, and a spirit beyond question.. Everyone watching this should stop for a minute, and realise that so sadly, we will never hear a vocal with these qualities again... so unique were Amy's talents...

Enjoy, and celebrate a beautifully gifted person

  • This gave me goosebumps.

What a bloody shame...she was so unique. So talented.

  • Truly best voice of her generation..She will always be remembered.

  • @Ningwu1 it's because we never realize what we truly have until it's gone, and we spend the rest of our lives in regret. She was talented beyond belief, but it was constantly overshadowed by her erratic behavior. Now that it has all subsided, it's easier to pay complete attention to the music. And that's all that really ever mattered. Her music. Her legacy.

  • its funny that when you die you suddenly become legendary and angelic perfection

  • I like to think that Amy, Janis Joplin and Lady Day are somewhere right now, jukin' the joint.....damned drugs!

  • Same Here!

  • the more i research amy the better she gets musically my god words just fail at the loss

  • @gimpsatchel

I knew I had heard a talent when I first heard Stronger Than Me. Undeniable. Makes me proud to be from the UK. She went out like a supernova, but trust me she burned bright before!

  • Too slow. Prefer the record.

  • Oh my, look at that smile at the end! She knew she killed it! I still cannot accept that she's gone. :-(

  • Mensch da bekommt man 'ne Gänsehaut vom feinsten!!!

Wahnsinn... Schade das ich sie jetzt nun nie live erleben darf...

  • FANTASTIC BEAUTIFUL SINGER!

  • Such an incredible talent! Such a shame she's gone. I always hope she would out grow her in-perfections(drugs etc.) and look back at herself and say "whew!" But its too late now so I just thank the lord for giving her to us for the short time he did and have peace knowing that she doesn't have to suffer any more. Life is just too much to handle for some people. R.I.P. Amy, you are truly missed.

  • i feel the same way

  • Such an incredible performance. I can't stop watching this. It fills me with so much pride knowing what Amy achieved, but such sadness and regret that she won't see another day. Life is so precious. Prayers go out to Mitch and the rest of the Winehouse family after this tragic loss of a star that brightened our lives with a Heaven-sent voice.

  • For a better quality recording of this type:

Amy Winehouse - Take The Box Mercury awards 2004

  • damn damn damn damn damn damn this voice , damn damn damn damn damn

  • She is so young and fresh.

  • This is NOT rare what so ever! This song is from her album "Frank" I suggest everyone listen to it! It very relaxing listening to it! May her soul rest in peace cnt still believe this soulful angel is gone....

  • i am also a musician and i can feel some of it..when u have music in ur soul, Music will be running your Life, and its a lil bit release! u have an outlet to all the PAIN... so dont judge AND blame all to popularity,,,No one knows whats inside of every human heart, no one knows how to be the exact person visible by our eyes, for it's only Yourself you understand and only you know about..

  • In just a few years and 2 album man she can do the same song 10 times just like it was something else she is missed and what a legacy the only singer to sing with her "kishka" i miss her every minute rest in peace love youxoxoxoxxo

  • Drugs stamped on her talent, should be a lesson to us all.

  • Tank you for sharing this beautiful talent ♥ it!

  • After listening to music,Jazz,Blues,Rock, all my life,58 yrs worth,I've heard, seen so many of the "greats".This woman was RIGHT THERE with all of em,her GIFT was extraordinary. No Huge, staged show lip synch 1000 dancers spectacle, just music,"straight,no chaser"Sadly, such a short life, career, but her impact will outshine all these so called "DIVAS" and their "Barnum N Bailey" antics.RIP,Amy.

  • She was a living dead for a long time, but her pain wasnt supposed to end like this, she was doing just fine those last weeks ...wtf happened

  • she came here, knowing what she wanted to experience -and she came anyway. She left us with this beautiful gift to enjoy and chose to leave to continue her journey. Let's be happy for her!

  • How do you know she wasn't doing drugs?

  • She died along time ago. very sad.

  • I can 't accept how a person can totally change.....i'm very angry ... God gave you everything and you have not appreciated anyway God bless you.......sweet Amy!!!

  • That smile ..those gorgeous green eyes ,that voice ..ii coulda sworn she was an angel ♥♥♥`

  • @sWaGaLyKcRaZy ahwww ikr

  • Comment removed

  • @latestmusic08 actually she said she did drugs when she was in high school.. years before she got signed

  • another story of pain..art...drugs..and death

  • What's the name of the song please ?

  • @AxeIJackson its called Take The Box

  • @MrCIMASTUDENT Thank you !

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!

  • Its her dumn ass boyfriend and later husband who finished her off.....

  • It is so sad, that her entourage and her inner circle, hell, yes, even her closest relatives could not do a thing to get her out of her unlimited abuse of all kinds of drugs like heroin, coke, ketamine, xtc and speed plus the medication she got. ...and the biggest of all them killers is the bose in combination with the dope. Heroin and alcohol will put you out in no time. she still had so much to give, I love you, Amy! 4ever!

We're aLL friends in music, sweetie

  • my eyes watered when I saw that smile...

  • One of a kind. The amazing Amy Winehouse! Always loved her always will. Both of her albums are excellent. I think Frank is just as good as Back to Black. I encourage anyone who likes her music to buy both. You will not be disappointed! Promise!

  • The little girl with an ATOMIC voice. Amy achieved what she wanted in life. She once said she would die a happy woman knowing she made a significant contribution to music. She definitely did that.

  • Ahí brillaba con toda su luz. Increíble actuación y bellisima ella. Por siempre Amy, desde aquí abajo siempre te recordaremos.

  • makes me so sad... to see the difference in this and her last performance. RIP Amy!

  • wow...this was amazing. so long ago

  • fuckkkkkkkkkkkk sooooooooooooooo damn good. RIP.

  • amy rest in peace

  • I'm ashamed to say that I dismissed her for years because of all the hype and bad press. Since her passing, I can't get enough of her and I'm simply blown away by her giant talent. Arguably the best voice of her generation... what a huge loss!

  • @janicerosen INarguably the best voice of her generation.

  • @janicerosen I'm right there with you. I LOVE her now! The tabloid press and her antics really overshadowed her talent.

  • @BD92 Yup!! Couldn't agree more! Negative press, in my opinion, was probably one of the most destructive forces in her life. She probably saw all the negative press about her, became depressed, and DID MORE DRUGS! Like most people, I've probably listened to more of her music now that she is dead than when she was alive. (Kind of sad how our minds work isn't it?) Crap! Before drugs she used to be sort of pretty in a different way and VERY talented. I LOVE that style of "throwback" music!

  • @TheSqueegeable I couldn't agree more. And you're right, she did have her own unique attractiveness. One of the things that may have led to her demise is the entertainment industry's obsession with the "perfect" look. Pretty doesn't always mean interesting.

  • @janicerosen

Just wanted to say how much i echo your views. The tabloid non stop hype put me off but since her death have listened to so much..never ever hear
