You did good to just wait for your snake to let go. Most times when snakes bite its due to our own mistakes and most people don't realize that. They aren't monsters like a lot of people think.
I agree with ianmiscool, badass indeed. Looks like he mistook you for food XDD good thing snake bites don't cause infection that often. He is a pretty boy by the way :D

@deandre2420 That's not what he's doing, you haven't a grasp of what snakes canor can't learn. The only way to get the snake off is to grab it & pry it's jaws off your arm, but that takes 2 hands. Even so, you break teeth off in your bones, where they DO penetrate, trust me on this, which isnb't good for either you, nor the snake.
BTW, you can't X-Ray bones to find things embeded in them, like bones, glass, or teeth. It all looks about the same.
@KestrelJames wtf r u talking about, did u watch the video..seems like he purposely wanted his snake to bite him, nevermind how to get tha snake off..doin dumb shyt like that can stress tha snake out and which sometimes could led to death..your not tellin me anything i dont kno i have years of experience with snakes..
@deandre2420 1) the snake struck prior to videotaping. 2) You can't "safely" make a snake let go, most of the time, tho I've had success with gently tapping their noses, 3) a good way to get the snake to let go is to fill the sink with wamish water, dunk the snake, & throw in all the ice & frozen food you have to chill the water so the snake let's go QUICKLY, just toget away from the cold water. That's the SAFEST way I know to induce a snake to let go. 4) That's an accidental food bite.
@KestrelJames sometimes the snake will let go if it realize its not food but if not and u dont have a person to help assist u, u can use hott water instead cold water, it wont harm the snake but it wont matter if your life is in danger
I will say you took that like a champ, Snake bites even on owners happen, depending on size and ability to be able to acquire something to help can be difficult. Your lucky it wasn't bending your wrist or elbow to the point of fracture. Or around your neck. I am an advocate of animal protection especially from us since we do more harm to them in the end. You should look at the "Snake Repellent Videos" Recently released April 2011
I personaly am sick of stupid people who know nothing what so ever about snakes just rattling off names in a row n then even more stupid people just think its new lol people i emplore u , pull ur damn heads out of ur rectal cavities
you shuldnt let ur snake get away wit dat type of behavior cuz den they`ll try 2 kill you trust me i kno my cuzzin had 2 lavender albino bermease ball pythons they were really pretty.
its not normal for a snake to bite/hold on and coil unless its eating.. the snake was probably hungry, normal cage response would just be a strike/release.
@julkoj surely u can c the power when feeding him my burms had me a couple of times def did not think of it as a nice experience def tought me to respect it more
It was fun, I had time to take it on video. The snake on my left hand- the camera in my right hand. Easily injured hand and little bit of blood. Nice experience.
@rsrobdj That would have been 1 of 2 responses, due to to approaches, Owner moved to quick inside the cage, didn't announce he was their, or it was a hungry. So basically Aggressive (Territorial), or Aggressive (Feeding,Hungry) response. Still props for taking the video people don't realize that owners respond differently to their snakes biting. You should never harm a snake, large or venomous. Their are few products that are safe for them and non toxic
Update: This might be the zookeeper (student) I mentioned. If so, his name was Erick Arrieta and the python had swallowed his head when they found him.
... /watch?v=Tbk_7M1Kivs
Same story: routine work with inadequate protection.
Glad to see you didnt Panic like most people would and try to rip your arm out of her grasp. You did the right thing and stayed calm until she was ready to release. I Keep a thin Metal Spatchula on top of my Burm"s Enclosure for times like this. Thanks for the Vid, 5*
There's a video on one of the TV shows where a zookeeper gets his chest and arms coiled by a 27-foot(?) python, goes out, and is revived. Fascinating!! Google zookeeper lightbulb.
There's another that's just a news article. This poor zookeeper's autopsy showed massive internal bleeding and many broken bones.
The scariest part of your video is when you show your face. You are a HERO in my book for filming and posting this experience -- and especially living through it!
haha im leaving anouther message 1 year later my albino berm got 2 of my fingers and i could feel the teeth grinding agenst the bone haha it didnt hurt at all tho but after watching this video 1 year ago i didnt panic so thanks for posting the video haha
Ive taken a bite off a lot smaller python,to me it was painfull.I bet this hurt like hell. But it goes with our hobby, you didnt painc, and no harm to your snake, GOOD JOB !Question, Are you feeding large enough prey, snake still might be hungry,I had almost the same problem.
if this happens grab a cold glass of water an pour down the back of your snake if you can. it causes an extreme fealing to let go sorta like you have an itch that REALLY needs itching
it works because there cold blooded, and when they get cold they lose energy, and they hate that when tehre trying to kill another animal. so they let go. i think thats how it works
is that a bad snake or a bad herper? you should add an audio track explaining what you did so people who see this can avoid the same painful experience
