  • fuck! wow, daniel wow wow wow. I knew he was deep and interesting, but what a breath of fresh air listening to him talk sense in a glitzy bullshit hollywood movie world. But one thing that god me, look at him from 1.07 :O ! is it me or does he look like heath's joker, his eyes his mouth! fuck, wouldn't that be something if one day they did batman 3 and got the joker back, and day lewis played it. I want them not too but, if they did day lewis 110% percent. but i don't think he would tbh :(

  • He was very good in the Crucible, I had to watch this film in english II class

  • What an incredible man...

  • Daniel Day-Lewis is pure class.

  • amen sister i barley knew the guy i only watched one movie with him in it and its the patriot and he did some damn good acting it shocked my cause i reconized him and im greiving 2 my thoughts and prayers r with his family

  • it's so true!

his family should be left alone and people should appreciate that they cant be dealing with press when theyre suffering like this.

Heath came across as a great guy, he doesnt need anymore negative press =[

Go daniel day lewis for making your point heard! x

  • I totally agree with you & with Daniel. Let's remeber Hetah for who he was & ehat he did, bot for why he died. He was an extremely talented actor & seemed to be an amazing person as well. I look at videos, photos & films of him and I just think better & better things about him. I've got to say that he's one of my heroes & he shall be remembered.

  • Thank you for posting this. I just recently started a collection of all the Heath Ledger films I can find. I watched Casanova yesterday, and cried after it was over. Even though I didn't know him personally, I've always had a great appreciation for theater and acting, and it deeply saddens me that such a wonderful actor as Heath is no longer with us. I hope that by his passing everyone realizes what a talented man he was.

  • Well said Daniel.

  • God bless Daniel for speaking the truth & doing it so eloquently.

  • Now with The Dark Knight out and doing so well, living up to the massive hype surrounding -thanks in large part to Heath Ledger's Joker, he will be remembered the way he should be remembered, cemented in history as 'THE' Joker and an amazingly talented actor in that

  • Well said Daniel

  • Couldn't agree more! I hope the fact that Heath's films has been in such great demand since January means that he gets full recognition for all his work. And I believe we'll have special editions of his films to look forward to, hopefully with a lot of extra material on them. Meanwhile: Get your hands on the "I'm not there" special collector's 2 disc DVD. It includes a really lovely tribute to Heath on disc 2!

  • Thank you again for your kind words. I think they just post the articles and videos and hide. I am watching "Four Feathers" and Heath's acting is extraordinary in this movie. I heard that this movie did not get the oculades that it should have because of the timing in its release and the story line.

"Four Feathers" needs to be re-released. I can only hope that one day he will get the recognition for his role in this film.

  • I agree with you the speculations should stop. Heath Ledger was lovely. He was a creative genius and a perfectionist in his work. And he helped others along the way. He took care of his daughter for two years and not too many men will do that. Thank you for your kind answer and enlightenment. I will be praying for his family.

  • I couldn't agree more!! Too bad those kind of stories aren't considered to make good headlines.

What comforts me, is that there are more people that feels just like we do on the subject, than the editors of the gossip mags/channels care to take into account. I have read so many comments to different articles and videos that suggests just that, that I'm surprised the gossip editors hasn't noticed. Or surprised: When I think about it I'm not sure they can even read. They for sure can't proof read!

  • I am very sorry for the circus that his family have to put up with, they had a famous sons. There seems to be so many unanswered questions...that leaves a gap in peoples life's that truely cared about him. He has fans that are literally coming out of the wood work, expressing their sorrow. He has movies coming out and we are not to supposed to care.

  • Thank you for that comment!

You're right about the true fans: they (we) haven't stopped grieving, and we are appalled by the fact that there still is no peace to be found: The circus just goes on and on...

Of course that's somewhat due to unanswered questions, and to the fact that The Dark Knight is soon to be released, and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is in post production.

I just wish the nasty speculations would end, and we could focus on the lovely person that left us much too soon.

  • I love this man. He's so classy and just an all around, genuinely decent human being. He really seems to care about people. I admire and respect him not just as an actor put as a person.

  • Thank you! That's exactly how I feel!

And I think he was absolutely right when he said on Oprah (about Heath): "I didn't know him, I have an impression, a strong impression, I would have liked him very much, as a man, if I had".

I'm sure he would have - as I'm sure Heath would have liked DDL a lot had he known DDL...

  • we understand how you feel...but as long as an actor has; a video coming out May 1 (I'm Not There); a major studio motion picture coming out July 18 (The Dark Knight) and yet another film still not even wrapped and due for a 2009 debut...(Imaginarium, etc.) how can his story possibly not be hot...in some crazy way his work is keeping him alive ...literally a first....even in crazy hollywood...he has proven what we all knew even in death a star is a star........lol

  • I will never accept that a person's fame is used as an excuse to say ANYTHING about him/her. I will never accept that disgruntled, anonymous, paid sources are relied upon to tell "the whole truth" about a person. I will never accept that it is taken for granted that the paparazzi and the celebrity reporters are allowed to invade the privacy of the stars. And in this particular case: I will NEVER accept that the media has used Heath's tragic passing as an excuse to smear a good man's reputation!!
