  • Pretty sure that what he's doing is memorizing where the aces are, and stripping one card off the top with each shuffle until he's gotten down to where an ace is. He does shuffle the deck, but drops the top 15/10/5 cards where the aces are all at once to preserve the number of cards between them. The ace of diamonds was only 4 up from the bottom so that's why he did it with the deck face up.

The end part is just super obvious false cuts with all the aces on top.

  • At 3:01 there is clearly a false shuffle as well as 3:20-3:29, 4:02, and 4:15. When he said there was no false shuffles, he was lying

  • @DazzlingDoudini those were false cuts, not shuffles, so you can't say he was lying, besides, that was the last part, the first part where he found the cards with shuffles was the one actually worth mentioning.

  • whats that song playing at the begining.. the techno one

  • you sir are an asshole, lying your way to vegas!!!

  • lol he said there was no false shuffles or cuts and the 2 of diamonds is always at the bottom of the deck

  • Has Benjamin Earl released this routine?

  • Ugh. One big problem with this show is that people can pass on semantics. The guy knows (just as well as Penn & Teller) that he is doing false shuffles (i.e. retaining cards), but can get away with saying he isn't due to him not performing an actual "false shuffle". Very irritating. This trick is nothing but card manipulation which any accomplished card magician could do. The envelopes guy deserved it more.

  • @MrVinushka i thought he had to let someone know backstage how he is doing the tricks so that he could not lie. the host actually gets a call from that person who verifies that the guy is telling the truth, doesn't he? :-\

  • @earthypig Yes, he's not lying as such. He's getting off on a technicality.

  • @MrVinushka btw did you see morgan and west ? /watch?v=ZJ7MJNwEpfs

i thought they were truly below par... really lackluster unexciting presentation and performance... but somehow they are also getting to go to vegas... :-\

  • @earthypig Yes. They were incredibly cheeky. They deliberately made it look as though they did a deck switch (knowing that P&T would go for that), but actually they were using a hand-signing technique which was equally obvious.

P&T keep mentioning how one act really shouldn't have got to Vegas and I think it might be them.

  • @MrVinushka ah.. if only they were as entertaining as they were "cheeky"... it seemed as if they got through by being so bad that you could not even take them seriously... so while everyone fell asleep through their boring act, they kind of **snuck in** before anybody could really wake up ... :p

  • @MrVinushka you should watch the backstage part of the video ;)

  • I know the method (I think) its not simple and just listen to what he says when Penn & Teller accuse him of false shuffles

  • It looked like the 3 aces were on top during the entire one handed part.

  • it's zarrow shuffling.

  • @dadojohnny nah mate it aint

  • this host needs to shut the fuck up.

  • pen and teller have ever said his knowledge of cards and the history of them is far greater than there selfs :p

  • if you keep the first half of the pack unshuffled then it IS a false shuffle... this guy may be very talented but he got too cocky

  • 3:46 smoooth palm~ as he claps his hands together.

  • false shuffle

  • I guess he went to the "strip-club" for this deck of cards? am I right?

  • @killiannetje You'd think so (and it'd be very easy), but it's Penn's deck of cards.

Another thing I don't really like about this is that the exact same effect COULD be achieved far, far easier (at no cost whatsoever to the effect) with one of those "strip club" decks. I do believe in shortcuts when they don't have any negative consequences.

  • the second section when he did it one handed is easy, with many false cuts with the aces located in the 3rd and top postition, but the 1st section completely fooled me.

  • You'we wong, we'we white... Oh, the racism!

  • Yes, there is no false shuffle. the principle of the trick is very simple but very difficult to do. He's not lying when he said that he is tracking the aces through shuffles.

  • that dude with the long hair is a douchebag and has the haircut of a 14 year old

  • 6:14 Tron Nerd.

  • @sahans YEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!! ha ha ha

  • 3:24 you see a quick flick down screen with no visible card..... significant?

  • I'm thinking he must have brought his own set of aces and sleighted them into the deck at some point, or perhaps swapped out Penn and Teller's deck for his own rigged one while they were walking to their seats.

Could be that he prepared two tricks... one that he would do if they brought the standard bicycle cards, and a backup trick incase they brought some other brand.

  • @lavalizard3 Yes, there is no false shuffle. the principle of the trick is very simple but very difficult to do. He's not lying when he said that he is tracking the aces through shuffles.

  • @jmbacalla21 I as well know what it is and ur no doubt right about what u said sir. :)

  • he looks like matt bellamy

  • i dont think there was something in jonathans ear

  • Great trick but didnt fool me:|.

  • Okay, looks like i noticed something that no one else noticed ...

    @2:14

1st Ace has 5 cards in front of it. There's another 5 cards in between the 1st and 2nd ace. Another 5 cards in between the 2nd and 3rd ace. And theres 4 cards after the last ace.

How did that happen when P&T brought the deck ???!!!

  • @deadmanavir Did you also notice that there is a 6, 2 cards, another 6, 2 cards, and a third 6? Or even that 2 2's are together and then the other 2 are separated by just 2 cards. Or, even better, 2 5's are together and then the other 2 5's are separaetd by just 1 card! I think it is easy enough to find patterns like this in any shuffled deck. Try it.

  • @PyProg Why do we care about the 6s and 2s again ? ? ? So you're saying it was just a coincidence, about the positions of the aces ? And beside rewatch the video, your explanation doesn't make sense at all ... !!! Not even a pattern, just throwing stuff from your mouth to justify it -_-

  • @deadmanavir Why do you care about the aces? If he turned up the sixes you would care about their positions in the deck instead. What qualifies your observations as a pattern while mine are not?

  • @PyProg Also if hes not keeping track of the cards with the pre-setup, why does he peack at the bottom cards every time he reveals an ace for the exception of the first one since it was done face up ... 2:44 3:00 3:17

  • @deadmanavir Coincidence? Probability? It's not impossible for that to happen and why would Penn and Teller let someone cheat when they'd be performing for them at their show? Good observations skills though =)

  • false cuts

    strip

  • blind shufle

  • Didn't fool me, very well done though

  • @ 3:52 you can see his hand go out of sight

  • Not bad, but it was just a bunch of false shuffles and cuts. I find it funny how he visually shows himself taking the top card each time.

  • He puts the ace into his left hand as he puts his hands together right as he talks to teller. Very smooth though.

  • He's CHARLIE from Always Sunny in Phillie!!! Greenman!

  • I usually prefer the more artistic stage magic... but this guy was great!

  • Et Justice Pour Tous!

  • so pity when penn say that he did not fool us for the first time and benjamin look really sad and then when the second time he say fool us he is still not feel really happy i think he fool me .....

  • Penn & Teller are brilliant artists.

  • thumbs up if u think dynamo should try fool them :D

  • @jordan19920 Dynamo can't fool anyone he isn't paying.

  • In Germany there is magician called The Amazing Randy who does this trick with his pecker no kidding! At the end the final Ace is on his Bell-End. Look him up, seeing Benjamin doing it with hands impressive, but to see Randy do exactly same trick with his dick or as he calls it his magic wand is incredible!

  • whats the song at 1:00?

  • 3:51 is when he gets the card from his right hand to his left hand

  • The fact is, the producer (who is told how it is done) has confirmed that penn and teller are wrong.

  • song in his opening?

  • @tdudelovespeople Genesis by Justice

  • If you stop it at 2:14, you will notice that the aces recure every 6 times, apart from the last one at the far right. :)

  • @LuKeSpEnCe10 As true as this may be, they werent his cards, so any order they appear in is luck and not purposely placed there

  • @LuKeSpEnCe10 but after so many shuffles without a false youre left with 3 letters. OCD.....this guy must have practiced this soooo much....v-good trick

  • This magic is amazing..

  • I've never seen such beautiful sleight of hand than this or michael vincent's performance on fool us. This sort of stuff really sums up what I believe to be real magic compared to big stage shows which use boxes that are rigged with mirrors and other things.

  • No false shuffle?? What was that just before he did the one handed part then! He FALSE SHUFFLED the deck to keep the 4 aces on top!

  • sleight of hand perk? what a noob

  • Mind=Blown

    where can this be learned?

  • Mind=Blown

  • sent here of the magican wtfminecraft!

  • Teller can't talk ?!

  • @ShadiTheMagician sure he can. he's not mute. you can find a video somewhere here on youtube where he talks about magicians he looked up to when he was a kid.

  • @serpentisma ok, i was asking because he never talks xD

  • @ShadiTheMagician yeah, it's just a part of the act. but hey, when you do some of the illusions like he does, words aren't really necessary.

  • i want this show in oz

  • yes but he has to remember the position of the cards he tracked and if you watch the full video it says it is not a false shuffle! @15h0tmy531f

  • Penn looked pissed cause he obviously somehow retained the cards. It's was a matter of the exact wording he said not how he did it.

  • Why wont teller talk?

  • @TheBadKidz His act is a mime, kind of, He did some interview thing, as a video log, thats all thats on the internet

  • @TheBadKidz Part of their act. Look him up on youtube and you'll find vids of him talking. Best one is when they were in Indian and he was being shown a trick. He explained he could see the palm etc but then the magician twisted it and Teller was truly shocked as he had be fooled :) and didn't know how it was done.

  • @joeypesci not Indian I meant Egypt :)

  • what is the first song in the background called?

  • Teller looks pissed. Like he wants to say something but cant lol

  • he did do a half fake shuffle you can see it its funny how he made the camera guy think that its not a fake shuffle

  • Watching Cherry Control...then this again...Penn was 100% correct. Though he should have said false cuts as opposed to shuffles....though there were both...there were waaaay more false cuts than false shuffles. Regardless...great con.

  • Nice Daft Punk :D <3

  • @TheGhov You mean Justice right? Not Daft Punk..

  • @rmweav11 Oh noes, sorry, I mistook Genesis for Steam Machine...

    Silly me >_>

    Thanks for catching that

  • 4:15 false shuffle

  • ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  • sleight hand pro

  • i love rossy, hes a british elmer fudd

  • 3:47, if you look very carefully, you can see that he slips the ace into his hands and never shows his left handpalm until the end.

  • I think they all walked away disappointed with that one but they gave the guy props for have a slick style.

  • "stick aWound" hahaha adorable:) & that magician kid is sooooooo cutee! ;]

  • girl is a bitch

  • I can constantly see the aces on the bottom of his shuffle, isnt that a false shuffle? :o

  • he looks like paul junior from american chopper

  • if u pause u will find the aces are 5 after evry card and onre ace is fifth from last abd then it was stacking i believe

  • Isn't the point of a shuffle that you don't know where the cards are and a false shuffle would be that you are tracking cards... I don't get this

  • I love who ever picks the music for this show

  • Not sure how he controls the aces at the start but for the one handed bit he already has the ace in his hand and the other 3 in a row the cuts are all fake.

  • if you can track a card through a shuffle then its a false shuffle for fucks sake

  • @15h0tmy531f I think they just conceded the argument, rather than getting fussy on a tv show.

  • @15h0tmy531f A false shuffle is a shuffle that retains the order of the cards, if you watch, he's looking down as he's shuffling, and he's using trick shuffles to manipulate the position of the cards, so the deck isn't being randomized, but it isn't staying the same.

  • @15h0tmy531f lol yea i agree. The only part that i cant figure out is how he gets the aces to the top at the beginning. After that he "tracks" them while they were on the top. But when he did it one handed he just did a bunch of false cuts. The first cut he just took a bunch off the top and placed them back, the second cut is the most obvious false cut I've ever seen, and the third one is the same as the first. And he palms the card at 3:47 when his hands are together. Simpler than it looks.

  • @15h0tmy531f Not really because nobody else can (being the pro magician's)

  • @15h0tmy531f nah i wouldnt say so. If you detect cards by looking at them its a totally different type of cheat if you ask me.

  • @15h0tmy531f you ever heard of controlling card(s)? jeez...

  • @15h0tmy531f not necessarily. i know what i'm talking about.

  • @15h0tmy531f not neccasserily...

  • This guy didn't really fool them. Penn just blurted out "False Shuffle", but what he really meant was that he was locating the card and then just shuffling the deck around for show while tracking the card. Shuffling for show and false shuffle are pretty much easy to mix up with each other. The host /producers just took advantage of his mix up to force him to say he 'fooled them'.

  • 6:14 Love the Flynn Lives Shirt

  • Are you uploading piff the magic dragon from last night by any chance??

  • @murreymint08 WHat channel are these on?

  • We are wight cause we wah team. Hah

  • where Can i watch these

  • the one hand control was more obvious, but the two hand location fooled me quite a bit, since he start with a shuffled deck.

  • there is no half deck false shuffle? what?

  • palming the card is not a smart move cuz magicians know that

  • I love this show.I like magicians competing with each other

  • @wtfnothingavailable work out the first half clever boy??!! No one is impressed by your reveal. Muppet!

  • Is there a tutorial for this?

  • Omg.

  • When the card slips out of the deck a few times during his shuffling, like at 2:30 for example, there's no way that's just accidental sloppy shuffling. There's got to be a reason. My kneejerk thought is it's misdirection for some kind of move, but even with the birds-eye view, I can't tell if I'm right or when he's doing it.

  • @TheBunbury42 He explained about his performance style when I was in his lecture at the Session this year. Really interesting theories, changed my magic at least!

  • his whole one handed thing just has all the aces on top with a few sort of fancy cuts. 4:02 drops bottom half and then places the top back on, reveals his first ace. 4:07 splits into 3 piles, takes the card that was on the top the whole time. next bit he messed up, but he put the deck together messily so that he was able to make a break for the next ace, and then again the same thing he did at 4:02

  • @wtfnothingavailable what was the point of that?

  • @coast2coast350z to be an ass

  • Comment removed

  • 3:12

    Cherry Control????

  • @MatthewDeForest lol are you serious

  • where to learn the move on ~ 3:11- 3:14 (fan with break?)

  • at around 3:46 You can catch a glimpse of the bottom card being transfered to his right hand, then passed into his left hand as he rubs his hands together. That's all I really can notice as I watch the clip again.

  • Anyone know the song/beat from 0:19 to 0:54?? Much appreciated if you do.

  • @larylilshit1 genesis by justice

  • @bog3n Thanks very much.

  • @larylilshit1 Genesis by Justice

  • i like this show/

  • hmm... how did Benjamin have a photo with a card equal to the deck P&T brought? Do illusionists always use that kind of decks?

  • @0the0drifter0 Its just a generic Bicycle deck, one of the most popular card decks to use for any sort of magic like this, as they spread well and shuffle well due to the finish on them :)

  • @MrLukeCarroll fair enough, thanks ;)

  • @0the0drifter0 Yes! There called Bicycle Playing Cards! Almost every magician/ illusionist knows of them. I myslef must have 10 decks of them! They are used in a lot of Vegas Casino's because of the smoothness (and because there much easier to handle) and becuase with quick deal outs they don't flip over as frequently

  • You are awesome Ben - congrats man.. trixy.

  • I love benjamin

  • @15Sparky15 Me 2 =)

  • Wait, so we just have to trust him? This makes no sense!

  • @asfaqqq well hes not just going to come out and state the magicians trick, because penna and teller are experts and if they were to explain it then everyone expert or not would know. So if the magician doesn't trust that they know it then they could challenge them but in turn have there awesome trick revealled to the world if penn and teller are right. Sucks for the audience because everyone wants to know how it happened but its far for the magicians!

  • @asfaqqq the magicians did have to show someone backstage how it was done in case he does lie. if u watch jon ross he does contact someone backstage with his earpeice

  • This can be learned in a Video made by Jason england and paul wilson sorry dont know the name though.

  • @TheBradTobin

    The Unreal Work ?

  • @VTMB2 Yeah thats it, but its taught using a zarro, i know this is different but the concept is much the same.

  • @TheBradTobin You're wrong. This is in fact very different

  • God thats the most beautiful hand wash ive ever seen in my life, so natural, i belive its dai vernons, but could be JC wagners, oh my lord i speechless about the natrualness of it, the way he slightly bend his fingers at the right moments and the way the patter goes with the natural manerisms, just amazing.

  • honesty, i think there was a deck switch, each ace was 6 cards from each other, except one which was 5th from the bottom, ive been saying for the the past few years that benjamin earl is the best sleight of hand card tecnician in the world(in magic, no one is close to Forte),his push throughs are better than anyones(not that he did any here).I love that he can not talk but still come across entertaining which is basicaly breaking a rule in magic...and the palm...damb.

  • benjamin dep. trai :">
