It's really fun and really awesome, but there is one bug: when on the dashboard, the screen will freeze for anywhere up to a few minutes. If you are in a chat or party, you can still talk, just the screen won't be doing anything. I find this very understandable, since a downloaded update like this has never been done before.

@modikova5 i agree with you 100 percent. i have a ps3 and xbox, and the xbox controller fits my hand, but the ps3 strains it. also i could never find a good game for the wii, so i sold mine. although, the xbox controller is heavy because it runs on batteries instead of holding a charge.
Question... My cod4 disc is scratched to shit, but it still runs and won't install. So if I use a buddy's cod4 disc to install onto mine, and then use my cod4 disc to validate it, will it work? Not sure if the console requires THE disc, or just A disc

I was skeptical at fist about the whole idea of the new Xbox experience, but it really isn't that bad. It just takes some getting used to. I understand that it might be a little bit more difficult to navigate around, but in time people will get accustomed to it like the old Xbox dashboard.

The disc doesn't spin, which makes it a bit quieter, and load times are faster.

At first i hated the idea of this but now i realy like it and am looking foward to all the new features probably my favorite is that i can download the game onto the hard drive but it pisses me off u need the game in the tray still i was getting exited like i could make copys of the game but then that would be really dumb of microsoft to do that.

why dont dey just do wat da ps3 did cause wen u put da disk in it doesnt spin theres just a lazer dat reads it and makes it faster and more hd wait i mean Blue-Ray. and this makes it quieter and the reason da 360 gets hot is cause the disk is spinning and dat causes friction and makes it hot really fast

man the new xbox update will be so cool i cant wait i was at my freinds house and he got into it early and omg the avatarts are cool if you unklock certain achivments you get new avatrs like in gears of war 2 you get this certain achivment and you get marcus as your avatar its so cool cant wait and home will be cool i got into the beta and its ok pretty goof

why would anyone download a game onto there console when u need the disc in there to prove you own the game? what people are gonnna wait ten minutes for it to download waste there memory on there harddrive just so they can make the game play a bit quiter? that is a retardted useless idea. its for fuking pussys who cant stand noise.

if they cared that much they would put codes, since they have been doing it for computer games for many years now. you may still need the disk, but it prob doesnt read off the disk, just has to verify that you do have a copy.

O and one more thing, looking over in the comments I seen that it said that you can copy games to your hard drive. And I seen that it said this "Of course, you will still need the disc in the tray to prove you own the game."
That alone makes it a useless idea. Why would you need to prove you own the game when you gust had the game coped to your 360's hard drive. Here is a Idea, Wright a code on the back of the box that you must type in to play the game.That way it could stop piracy of 360 games
