  • Each individual will respond to a product differently. Cystic acne is the most common form of acne whether it is caused by hormonal imbalance or aggravated by stress. You should have done your research before posting this video on youtube. Make-up is only a way to enhance an insecurity that you have of yourself.

Your lack of ability to effectively communicate a product is quite humorous. I went to high school with this girl, she is a clear example of what of a girl with beauty but no brains.

  • @g6f6n6reg You're really not well informed. I did all of my research. Maybe you should check yours. Trust me. You're inner beauty is quite lacking. Getting on youtube and acting like YOU are better than ANYONE. Hope that made you feel better about yourself.

  • @g6f6n6reg You should really be ashamed of yourself attacking another woman like this. I am in disbelief. I have helped literally hundreds of people get rid of their acne & skin issues. My inbox is overflowing & full of people I've helped by sharing embarrassing information about my own personal struggles. I honestly can't keep up with the messages I get daily. You should be ashamed of yourself. I feel sorry for you.

  • @gjab19 Omg, I had no idea..that actually makes a lot of sense! Thankyou, I'll be washing all my brushes tonight.

  • @chloefarrah you are welcome... so did it work? i want to know actually

  • I USED TO WORK FOR SEPHORA AND I USED THIS PRODUCT ON WOMEN THAT HAD ACNE PROBLEM AND AS LONG AS I WORK THERE NONE OF THEM COMPLAINT OF THE PRODUCT, ACTUALLY THEY WOULD RETURN TO BUY MORE FOUNDATION.... NARS, MAKE UP FOR EVER AND SMASHBOX ARE SILICON BASE AND I WOULDNT RECOMEND IT TO PEOPLE WITH ACNE OR ACNE PRONE SKIN OR OILY SKIN

  • and btw. I agree with you !! :-)tell people whatever you want !!! If you hate it, say it !!! :-D...

  • thats interesting...thanx for this vid..:-) I think I have the same problem ....

  • Just so people know, the bareminerals matte version doesn't have bismuth oxychloride in it, that might be a better option for those who react badly to the original....

  • The two years I used it, I really loved it and I think I still do I just haven't been able to purchase. But this is great info to know! I didn't know about Bismuth Oxychloride, OUCH! I'll probably try it again but I'm totally still looking for a better makeup. This is the only foundation brand that makes my face look flawless and feel good too. We may disagree but I thank you so much for the info! I'm going to look for makeup without that !

  • BareMinerals gave me bad cystic acne. I stopped using makeup on my face all together and it's gone now. Sucks though because I loved how it made my skin look. Damn catch-22.

  • You need to dye your hair blonde because you are acting like a moron. Come on now, really? Like a child....

  • I've been using bare minerals for a while and I haven't had any problems with my skin at all. The product probably just didn't work well with your skin.

  • I love how much this agrivating people it's hilarious! It's not as if shes going to be saying it's good because it gave her acne! Chill out peeps! :L

  • I used this product and the brush that came with the kit, and everytime I put it on I would feel a burn or sting. It sometimes itched or if it got in my eye, burned. Definitely harsh chemicals in it

  • @chloefarrah when buying the BM or BE kits or brushes, you have to wash them first with shampoo or brush cleanser; since they are chemical treated with antibacterial, that's why you feel the itchiness or the rashes come out...

  • Bare Minerals isn't a "stupid" product. Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work for others. Every foundation is different, some doesn't suit others. It's common sense.

  • That happened to me too but switched to the matte and the people went away.

  • I think she is right and people chill the F out! she said for her not for everyone! its her opinion on what she thought about it .... I used bare minerals and had the SAMEE thing occur but for me after a week i did get bad acne, redness, itchy, dryness and my skin is oily/combination. And my breakouts were just horrible i had cystic acne and my skin peeled off on one place! it was just a BAD thing to use on MY face. Use somthing different if that happens!

  • bare minerals gives me the worst rash and itchy skin! but it worked wonders on my friend with acne prone skin. so i dunno, i think it just depends.

  • chatshit.com

  • Do you work for a competitor? I LOVE bare minerals makeup, looks and feels amazing and trust me i've tried lots of different brands

  • I use this product & i love it.

  • i recently got this makeup for christmas because i have been suffering from horrible acne my whole life and being in highschool i want to fit in. i have learned the hard way that using liquid foundation will mess you skin up really bad. my dermatolagist told me i had yeast infection on my face. how gross!!! but i say that you cannot always blame the product. while liquid foundation did not work for me it does for others that are acne prone. always check your brushes as they can be the cause

  • just cause it doesnt work for YOU doesnt mean it wont work for OTHER PEOPLE

  • She just pisses me off by the way she talks. Just because BM doesn't agree with your bitchy ass skin doesn't mean you should tell peoples' daughters not to use it. Seriously? Boo. Boo you

  • If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all -:(

  • I have really sensitive skin and thus actually is clearing my acne so I am mad cause this will wok differently on different people so just cause you face didn't agree doesn't mean you need to bash the brand because it is I believe the best out there a

  • MATTE BARE MINERALS DOESNT have Bismuth Oxycloride. Alot of people break out from the brushes, clean um! If its Cosmetic acne it takes usually about 3 months for u to know, then all the sudden ur covered in ZITS ! I had that reaction with MAC Studio FIX !

  • you had a allergic reaction you sicko!

  • DO YOUR RESEARCH?TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE.i have cmbo skin with occasional brkouts due to stress ive been using BM for 5 years and love it,i stopped for a while, and used a liquid foundation, broke out horribly.IT WASNT FOR ME!went back to BM and its clear again.my sis n law HAD severe cystic acne before i switched her to BM.you shdnt scare people into not purchasing a good product just because it didnt work for you when its done nothing but good things for others Dont infect othrs with your ignorance

  • yeah all you guys that are commenting bad shit are fucking haters!! like backkoff damn...some people love this product and your scarring the fuck out of them if your going to give a bad reveiw on sometihing this expensive and life changing type makeup then juss go masturbate or something you lowlife bitchess...

  • I love this product!

  • I developed severe skin allergies due to working with aviation fuel in the Navy. This makeup is the only one I can use and have used for 10 years now. I can not beleive this uneducated women is putting herself on youtube slandering this brand due to her own personal experience. If you are sensitve to bismuth oxychloride your obviously going to need to use something else. Why not tell people what is working for you now instead of slandering a great brand?

  • Bare escentuals is the best make up for me... it has actually helped my skin, it's never looked better. Use the matte one, it contains rare minerals soil complex, I think that is what has helped my skin look fab without the Be as well.

  • Makeup can clog your pores so it causes acne. I have used creams that caused acne breakout.

  • What product would you recommend me to use?

  • ...it chemically resembles arsenic, but it is a by product of copper and lead. As for the gal in the video.. I think you mentioned in the beginning that you use sephora? I recently looked at my sephora mineral makeup to see if it contains it.. it does.. which is why at 29 years old, I've been battling cystic acne for three years now. Avon makeup to sephora. All the causes.

  • Geez, people... bismuth oxychloride is a cause for cystic acne in a large amount of people. While it doesn't affect everyone negatively, I say why risk it. To the person that staid it's in all cosmetics.. you are incorrect.. there are plenty of brands that have caught on.. for example: neutrogena. Their makeup doesn't contain bismuth oxychloride. And it's cheap and you can buy it at walmart at 3 in the morning if you need to. And the person that said it's derived from arsenic.. that's incorrect.

  • Actually, this foundation is one of the best for people with problematic skin and has one of the best coverages for foundations. Just look at my foundation video, It proves everything.

Your probably just not using the product correctly FYI Bismuth Oxychloride is in ALL makeup! Just so you know

  • I love this foundation, works great. Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean it's not a good product.

  • @citylights170 Actually it DOES mean it's not a good product, because it's NOT. 90% of the population has a reaction to it, mo-ron. Plus, you're 15, what the hell are you doing wearing a $40 foundation anyway? If you want to cover up your face wear a bag over your head, don't waste more money on a product that WILL cause permanent damage.

  • @soul416 Hahaha, this reply made me laugh. I find it absolutely hilarious and very creepy that you actually took the time to go to my page and find out how old I was. Yes I'm 15 your point? The way I decide to spend my money is none of your business, if I was to "cover" my face with $40 collar (Actually $28 dumbass) then I will, and I could give two shits what you say about that. This product works for me, so it is a GOOD product for ME.

  • @soul416 Some people react yes, some very badly. But 90%? That's completely incorrect, I'd like to know where you got that figure from as it's totally wrong. If 90% of people were having negative reactions, it wouldn't be on the market! :P

  • lmfao!!!! I loved the video!!! <3

  • This helped my acne sooo much. miraclee worker for me

  • Dont tell people not to use it.... it just didnt work for you. It works awsome for me. You can put your opinions on youtube, but if you want people to watch your videos dont say stuff like that just becuase it didnt work for YOU. Everyones skin is different. If you were a real youtube beatuy guru, and if you knew stuff about makeup and skin, you would know that. "Dont ell your daughters, friends, family.... ect." You went a little too far and personaly, I dont like your personality or videos.

  • @littlemissaloveable How about learn how to spell before going around telling people what to say?! If you knew how to remotely write in English, maybe people would take you seriously but clearly they don't. Grow up, child.

  • @soul416 excuse me, there were a few typos. That has nothing to do with anything. Not everyone is perfect. GREAT COME BACK HUN! :)

  • @littlemissaloveable OMG! I love your comment. I have been using BE for 6 yrs now and I LOVE BE! I get so many compliments on my skin. I have nice skin, yes I get my monthly breakouts, one or two but it most definitely is not from BE. I'm sure this person just like many others cannot use BE because of their skin type but it does not give her the right to bash the product and tell everyone and their momma... oops, their daughters too NOT to use it. LOL!

  • @pangstersvideos hahahaha... thanks :)

    yeah ik right!

  • @littlemissaloveable mmmhmm you tell that bitch! ;D

  • i wanted to get the one for a matte finish and that one doesn't have bismuth oxychloride these are the ingredients:

Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide. Inactive Ingredients: Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Calcium Silicate, Soil Minerals. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides

should i get it or just not risk it?

  • its not the full cause of your acne bc i use it and at first i thought it was the cause of my acne and i normally dont ever wear makeup in the summer, so for a whole three months i havent worn any and clean my face almost everyday and i still have acne. bare minerals isnt the cause of all your acne

  • Bye I don't work for BM I have just been using it since 2005. Lol

  • I think it really depends on your skin. For me its the best make up I have ever used. Everytime I stray and try to go to other products nothing else really compares. Being bi racial its also hard for me to find makeup that matches and BM works for me. MAC makeup gives me cystic acne. It all just depends on your skin.

  • loving your vids

  • Is that the matte or original if so do the two have any ingredient difference. My acne started when I was using covergirl (I was young and stupid and didnt know it was making it worse) I got acne really bad then i got scars and it doesnt go away! I'm using a bellapierre powder foundation at the moment and I think it might not be right for my skin colour and type but I don't have any other powders to use! Any suggestions, I'm going to america in a couple days if that helps

  • Clinique is terrible for your skiin. It's the worse product for your skin.

  • thanks 4 the review. it was very helpful. i wanted to use it but i have breakouts so im not gonna buy it anymore and im in 9th grade. Thanks!

  • I used this product for almost 2 years before realising it was what was causing my cystic acne. I have been off it for almost a month now and my skin is improving slowly but I am still getting a few big ones popping up. Think it just all the particles still coming out of my skin! How long after you stopped using this product did your skin start to improve??

  • @starryeyes889 I stopped getting new cystic acne as soon as I quit. BUT...everyonce in a while I would get one again and it was from other makeup that had the same ingredient (bismuth oxychloride). Check all your other powders, bronzers/blushes, foundations, and I've even found it in primers. Also quit using the brushes you used to apply it with. Hope it helps, let me know! :)

  • I am watching a bunch of your videos tonight and it was so funny when you said that started your obsession with sephora and youtube. In the last year on my quest for the perfect makeup and acne help, I've also become obsessed with youtube and sephora, and now that I live near a sephora (I used to live 3 hours away), I'm in trouble. LOL Have a great night.

  • A product doesn't give you cystic acne. Cystic acne is hormonal, so don't blame BM.

  • @kissmytanx3 actually it can. do your research.

  • @bananas507 ACTUALLY, it can't. Maybe you should take your own advice.

  • @kissmytanx3 You're right, Cystic acne is NOT caused by makeup. And as far as my research, I've work in dermatology for 10 years. People, talk to your derm doctor before you decide to take the opinion of a youtube video.

  • @kissmytanx3 You're right, Cystic acne is NOT caused by makeup. And as far as my research, I've worked in dermatology for 10 years. People, talk to your derm doctor before you decide to take the opinion of a youtube video.

  • @kissmytanx3 hell yeah it does, I never got a dam Zit, til I used MAC Studio FIX and had HARD ZITS UNDER THE SKIN that took 4ever to go away ! Stopped the products 2months later NO ZITS, its now been 9months since then, and I havent had ONE PIMPLE let alone CYSTIC ACNE, Estee lauder works best for me, I think its the heavlily fragrences in the MAC, So all my Foundations are FRAG FREE.

  • @jiller777 totally agree with u on MAC studio fix..big mistake, nice coverage though but not worth the acne

  • I use liquid foundation now(Neutragena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup). It looks better on me and doesn't irritate my skin. I don't have or use a powder substitute. The Matte formula from Bare minerals is bismuth oxychloride free though if you want to stick with powder. I still am not a huge fan of it. Powders seem to make me look cakey.

  • what do u recommend instead of bare minerals?

  • You may have just had a specific skin allergy to clinique. Just like some people are allergic to peanuts. I had a very common reaction to bismuth oxychloride. Not everybody will but it is extremely common, but everyone's skin will vary in reactions for every ingredient. I'm glad you found something that worked for you though.

  • I had a major allergic reaction to cinique products and bare minereals really helped my skin... So maybe it's just different for everyone

  • I use mineral hygienics bc it is the only mineral makeup that does not use bismuth oxychloride it has 4 ingredients and doesnt break me out. i had same problem iwth bare minerals. I HATE BARE MINERALS. its CRAP

  • @xocoley718 My feelings exactly. I have never heard of mineral hygienics before but I just checked out their site and they really good! I'm impressed

  • @bananas507 Ya they are like the only mineral make up that doesnt use 1239841294 other things that are in their makeup. Glad I could of be some help if you go the mineral makeup way haha. Bare Minerals is terrbile promotes this shit of its so great for your skin and its actually worse. didnt find that out for idk 2 years thanks for the cyctic acne assholes. anyways love your videos.

  • @xocoley718 couldn't have said it any better...thanks bareminerals!

  • Just stumbled across your videos today and i love them! you're awesome :)

  • @alisonball27 thanks! :)

  • Have you still been using the brazillian peels from Sephora? How are they working for you?

  • @MissMoneylovesMAC I haven't used it this month because I started a retinoid and you aren't supposed to use a glycolic/lactic acid with it. I did see results though...not the kind a pro peel would give you at ALL but fine lines were way less noticable after 4 treatments... but now they are back since I've stopped.

  • What foundation do you use now?BTW you should try the matte-its wayyyyy different!it has noo bismuth.

  • @mandy1719 I have worn Neutragena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup for the past 3 or 4 months. It's been really good to me. I think I'm too upset with bareminerals to ever buy anything from them again... but you're probably right...the matte one would be ok.

  • I bought this a couple months ago and within hours of using it my face started to itch. Turns out I'm allergic to bismuth oxychloride. I took it back and got the matte formulation which doesn't have it. That one is fine. But I really don't care for how it feels on my skin. It makes it feel dirty. Yuck! I prefer my Neutrogena liquid foundation or the Physicians Formula organic tinted moisturizer.

  • @ShanGooFan I agree 100% I really love the Neutrogena Healthy Skin or anything liquid...powders just aren't all that
