Amazing!! Guys don't say they sound bad because it's called playing a part. The ugly stepsisters aren't supposed to sound like beautiful opera singers... I used this video to help me when I sang this duet for my vocal coach's showcase. And now the local theater I perform at is doing cinderella in the spring and I really wanna be one of the stepsisters!! Anyways good job!!

i have no complaints with their portrayal i just think they needed better lighting. one of the main things i was taught was to always find your light and their choreography made them step out of it too often.

@alexalovesyoux0 Well, they're acting a bit too modern and explosive. I feel like the stepsisters would be more reserved, yet still bitter. They're being obnoxious, but I suppose it's better than them being flat. And I do give them props for actually singing the song. I saw one performance where it just seemed like they were whining the song instead of singing it.

This is an amazing version, definitely the best I've seen. Our community theatre is two productions away from Cinderella, and I want to audition for a step-sister. I figure that I'm always someone nice, so it would be fun to shake things up. Hopefully, I can do this half as well by the time auditions role around (and won't freeze up like I normally do).

I love this! We're doing a musical review of a bunch of different Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, and I'm singing Joy's part in Stepsisters Lament. It's awesome. Me and the girl playing Portia are the only ones with a character song, so we're having a lot of fun with it. ^^

This video was hilarious. My school did a production of the original Cinderella back in June, and we added in a bunch of the Roger's and Hammerstien songs(the play was bare). I played a stepsister, Drizella, and Terica(my friend) played Anistasia. We watched this very video and it inspired a lot of our coreography for the song in our play.
