nice. but the connection bars aren't called pings, lol. it's a measure of response time from the server to your xbox measured in milliseconds. thats why you see "80ms ping, 110ms ping" when youre looking for a match. the lower the ping the better, higher ping means lag.

@f250dog This type of thing does work. I have had a "little tin foil satellite thing" on my wireless router for over a year now and it doubles the signal strength to the other side of the house. All it does is make an omnidirectional antenna unidirectional by directing most of the radio waves in one direction. This sacrifices signal strength in one direction (the rear) for an improvement in the opposite direction (the front). You have to make sure that you point it the right way for it to work.

Unfortunately Im currently confined to a wireless USB dongle due to shitty pair gain. It works of the phone towers and my ping can vary significantly no matter how good the signal strength; bad latency =( . Just wondering if that design would work with USB dongle.
