"do not trespass"... too late, i visited the open pit twice in the the last few years taking pictures, sitting on the banks and just trying to wonder what it was like back in it's day.
as of the last time i was there ALL the buildings are gone now, the only thing left is the one set of skips ( or hoisting planes) that hauled the ore out of the pit and 2 concrete pillars. my dad work the number 3 mine untill it was closed. i look at all the old photos and say i was standing right there.. GREAT
