I know this is late replying but they only work in custom games and forge. Every so often Bungie updates the Matchmaking versions of the maps to change weapons and powerups, move around spawns, etc. Very common in MLG. But they can also remove hiding places-lowering the max possible height is a simple way to do it.

I think the one at 2:55 to 3:30 and at 7:20 is fixed in Matchmaking...And the one at 5:30 doesn't need a flare or grenade. With practice, it's possible to jump into the corner then quickly jump and crouch out to the upper level. Too bad it's one hell of a jump to master. The jump at 6:00 is great for sniping, but you want the Bubble Shield for cover from the other side. At 7:10 you can go from bottom to top by jumping into the tree and crouching up onto the next level, a bit hard sometimes..
