theres so much more you can do with this camera than what you have here, there are some good photos, but looking at your photos i can tell you didn't really play with it much. they arent very artsy. the camera has alot more potential than that. :)

I have this camera, but it's making me mad because when I zoom all the way in on pictures, I can't get crystal clear pictures. The overall picture is blurry and I feel like it shouldn't be that way. Anybody have any speculations as to why this could be? I feel like I should be getting WAY better pictures out of it.

@Whywaittoshare I've had this camera for 3 months now and yes, the image quality deteriorates when you set the quality to fine and at 12MP and digitally zoom in at 80X. However, the image stabilizer is imo, the best on the market. Remember though, any slight shake of the lens at high zoom can blur the pictures. Tripods work best, but after time you'll learn to have a steady hand and snap at the right timing.

@lpd1122 Do not buy the SX30is if you like pictures with better color and detail quality. Please see my comparison photos at Amazon . com under SX20is or SX30is.

If you like a little more zoom than the SX10 or SX20 but don't care about picture quality, buy the SX30is :)

@Whywaittoshare Also, try using a HOYA brand UV or circular polarizing 52 mm lens filter. It helps in sunlight and at high zoom to filter out haze and also helps to bring out more vivid colors. YES, it does thread onto the front lens with NO ADAPTER required (as some people claim).

Iam wonder if this camera is better to film with than taking pictures,since you have the HD video qulity? Anyone who have this experience? The new Canon produckts als have lost the superfine quality in the menu, left is the fine and normal. Because they needed to make more compact files. Anyone think that this make any difrence in picture or film quality?

SX20 IS is OK, but Im not satisfied with presented pictures on this clip. Im very satisfied with my sx20 and I get more then I expected. Also, I`d like to try another cameras in this category and compare with SX20, specialy FZ 35\38, but .........

trust me this video isn't indicative of this camera's true potential.

if you know how to tweak settings, this camera is unbeatable at it's price point.

the incredible HD video quality is just icing on the cake.

@deatho10o, yes, its a good camera. You can get it on amazon for 390 dolllars. You could get the camera, plus an accessories kit for 60 dollars. i totally recomend it. =)

exactly!... when you post photos in youtube,the image quality gets altered so it's true image can only be seen in an actual photo itself.
