Does this procedure still have the same side effects as lasik, specially like DRY EYE? I had lasik 7 months ago and am not that happy. I still cant see perfect and I have terrible dry eye. I was NEVER told about inplants and only later learned of contacts that you put in and out everyday to reshape your eye...forget what its called but its different than what you had i think,
Can i ask what is the point of high index glasses could someone explain this to me. Also it isn't very clear about this how long about improving your vision from people physically having clearer vision after a few days of doing eye exercises would this be a benefit? I am a L -4, and R -4 or by doing eye exercises only help reduce the risk to not become worse. Can someone explain this to me in terms we can understand.
@aschmitke The first few days my eyes were a little scratchy. I needed to do special drops for one month but once they were finished it was all very easy.
Great response and it's now 3 years since I've had it done. Love it!
never heard of implanted contact lenses. interesting. @ghostshadow: actually i did fall asleep a few times with my contact lenses in it and you get accustomed to that. it's no big deal. maybe red eyes in the morning, but you do not get blind ;)
At -10.00sph, L.A.S.I.K. wouldn't "fix" you, but it certainly could help significantly.

@DrGFS Why are you wearing glasses, is there a limit? How much does it cost?

Not a candidate for lasik or PRK (-12 and -11 prescriptions). What was the recovery like?

@MissJemimaPuddleduck indeed and of course I did a lot of research before I went under the knife. Being a doctor I am constantly doing research.

haya, how are you doing now. I love those glasses, they look cool! They make you cute ;)
Did the surgery go as you wished?

What he didn't tell you is that there is more than a small chance you could get cataracts.

Cool, I'll have to look into that. I hate glasses and having bad eyesight. I feel blind. -_-

I am now just over one year down the track after having my implanted contacts in.
I am 100% happy with the result and I am seeing better then 20/20...
For me it was a good choice.
