In almost all high level queen's gambit accepted games black gives back the pawn unless white chooses a line where he wants black to try to keep the pawn. Usually in high level games the only time black ever tries to keep the pawn is in slav defense lines. Though they look somewhat similar, especially with respect to the c4 pawn, they are two completely different openings.
How about Rd6, right after Qd7? I watched this game live and questioned this move. Why didn't Aronian play it? Was he to afraid of Anand's novelty with c5?!
I do not know but here is what I think may happen. After Rd6, a6 followed by Nxc5 (or the same moves in reverse order should give black a decent game. Note that any effort by white to post the dark bishop in c5 runs into Qh4 again. Another possibility after Rd6is a6 and e5 and then Nc5, e6 and d4 isolatng the rook.
@3:14 Bd6? Its attacking queen and rook. Am I missing something? Correct me if i'm wrong.

an after ..g5, knight takes g5 and then e5 is a great attacking game for white

can you do a video on openings where black tries to keep the accepted queens gambit pawn?
in alot of variations where black defends it there doesnt seem to be any compensation whatsoever, or at least thats just my opinion

i'm suprised aronian let his rook be trapped when he took the pawn on h5.

after Qe7 why didn't white play Bd6?

Because of Qxh4. Then if Bxf8 say, then g3 with a winning attack

I see that now. QXh4 and it's over very quickly.
