@TreeDonkey992 sgetting a ddm 4000would be a good idea, it is the only mixer with a B on it that you can actually buy. or just buy a single 2 channel mixer, some reloop rp 6000s or cdj 400s and start that way. don´t use midi controllers when ur in europe, noone respects midi "DJs".

@GrouEEf i know very well where you are talking about. The DJM-700 IS MIDI compatible, what means you can assign any button or fader to a MIDI note. Please read into your hardware ;). And hardware crashes, happens all the time, few weeks ago I saw a DJM-800 crash. Died. No possibility to reboot or something. Plugged his iPhone in and had to wait 15 to let a new DJM arrive. I agree DJs need to be able to beatmatch, but having 3 decks + 4 sample decks in sync, by ear, is (nearly) impossible.
@remcopeg i have used both the djm 700 and 800, noone ever maps these to whatever, noone needs MIDI on the pioneers.
i play vinyl on 3 decks, look at people like andy c, they do the same masterfull and even though i´m a relatively young dj i will stick to this vinyl thing since it is my style. i have never ever seen a djm 800 crash, neither have i seen vinyl actually crash lol.
a dj that can´t play vinyl is no dj. simple. because they can always get beer in the cds etc., vinyl always works.
Besides, the DJs job is to entertain people by spinning music they like ;). And please don't talk about "Real DJs use this and this". If we start talking that way, then you better take your old turntables + mixer without EQ and go toy with that stuff. THAT is oldskool, CDJS are not. There is no 'way to do it right'. As long as the crow has a good party, that is the right way for you.
Is it possible to run Traktor Pro with it, and if so how hard is it to map as a MIDI controller? Do all the functions work on the mixer, when used as a stand alone MIDI controller?
If you have dj software like virtual dj, in the bottom part of the screen there will be a folder for effects,video...etc, Go to the record folder and click on start record, there will be a screen saying do you wish to record, click yes and go from there, With programs like mixmeister, create a playlist of the music that you mixed, once you are satisfied with your mix go to top right corner of screen click on burn to a cd and follow the instructions Hopefully i have been a great help.
@wowdrali you can hook up any mixer to a laptop, all you really need is rca audio cords with the rca hookups for audio on one side and the 3.5 mm plug on the other, but it is recommended to hook up a sound card like a numark djio or something similar. hopefully this been a great help.

@GargoyleDubstep all decks/ turntables are hooked up in generally the same way, if you know what your talking about, its just hooked up by RCA's, unless your getting the DJM2000, where it has a USB port for Each deck into each channel of the mixer, this just helps the sync for each deck and makes it generally easier. But yeah, the CDJ900's are easy to hook up to any mixer
@DjBrianProductions the Black... All silver is not nice in my opinion.. i have 2 cdj 800 mk2's and i bough a black one.. The black strip where the master levels are matches the grey on the cdj's and it all looks great...
Can you combine multiple effects? It seemed like he had the filter and flanger at the same time towards the end. But the rotary knob seems to choose one effect only.
Yes you can combine the filter (via the filter knob) with any FX on the effect section. The rotary knob was controlling the filter when he was combining it with the flanger, the effects section is BPM controlled unless you manually adjust with the parameters knob.

All personal preference, most feel its enough, some rather have full cut. Pioneer felt with their testing that full eq kills wasn't really necessary, like with most of their other models.
-26 is enough for me, but i like full cut as well.
I saw this new one Dj, he is just incredible and gives everyday new hot house music mixes !! I think he will easily replace all those weak ass Dj (like David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Roger Sanchez, Martin Solveig) because he got mad skills!!

DJM-600 no since it doesn't have a dedicated low pass filter like the 700/800. But same time on 2 channels you can do that with any effect if you set the effects to master (the main efx section does have a standard filter though).
The 700, well technically yes since the filter affects the master. The DJM-800, well basically yes. Each channel has it's own dedicated color effects control knob, which has filter.

On the DJM-700, there is only one LP/HP filter. That main knob the guy in the demo messes with. Can only be used one channel at a time or master etc.. But not with 2 separate channels with independent control, although you can use the LPF/HPF knob on one channel and on the other just use the regular filter on the FX section. Not exactly the same but close enough.
But yea if you want to achieve exactly what you want to do, the DJM-800 is what you want.
The DJM-800 technically has the same thing with their color effects section.
Most of Allen & Heath's Xone mixers feature its own dedicated filters as well, sorta like the DJM 700's. Although the Xones are analog filters instead of digital, which they sound amazing btw. More control, quality with the xone filters.
The AI AEM-100i also has its own dedicated analog filters, which you can use in a similar fashion. There are more probably, but those i know at the top of my head
i have to admit, i dont watch videos demoing dj kit on youtube very often where they single handedly convince me to buy them. i was thinking about buying the 600 but i think now the extra 240 quid is probably worth the stretch!

Silver in my opinion! Depends what decks you have! If you have 1000s then get the silver. If you have 800s then get black. It breaks up the colour :)

DJM 600: no way
DJM 700: yes? 1 as master, 1 as per channel
DJM 800: yes since it has double control?

Yea you basically understood correctly
On the DJM-700, there is only one LP/HP filter. That main knob the guy in the demo messes with. Can only be used one channel at a time or master etc.. But not with 2 separate channels with independent control, although you can use the LPF/HPF knob on one channel and on the other just use the regular filter on the FX section. Not exactly the same but close enough.
But yea if you want to achieve exactly what you want to do, the DJM-800 is what you want.

The DJM-800 technically has the same thing with their color effects section.
Most of Allen & Heath's Xone mixers feature its own dedicated filters as well, sorta like the DJM 700's. Although the Xones are analog filters instead of digital, which they sound amazing btw. More control, quality with the xone filters.
The AI AEM-100i also has its own dedicated analog filters, which you can use in a similar fashion. There are more probably, but those i know at the top of my head
